What if Street Fighter Was A Sega CD Game?

The question that's sat on our lips, painfully unasked, since the 1990s has finally been answered.

Full-motion fighting finally comes into its own.
Full-motion fighting finally comes into its own.
Giant Bomb super user of the moment, DemonLeo, sent me a link to "YouTube Street Fighter." It's essentially a full-motion video take on Capcom's fighting game, reenacted via stop-motion with action figures.

Like any good full-motion video game, it's kind of dumb, but also completely amazing. You'll click on buttons that are in the video to perform moves, which is handled by loading up different video clips. If you wait too long without hitting anything, you get beat down by the opposition.

You'll play as Guile, and you can fight Zangief, Dhalsim, or Honda. Actually, as of this writing, the first Zangief video is broken. But I worked over Honda pretty easily. Think of it as a big, video-based Choose Your Own Adventure book, with tons of branching videos. This had to take the movie's creator, Patrick Bolvin, kind of a long time to create.

Our hats are off to him! Actually, none of us wear hats. If we did, though, we'd totally take them off. This is awesome in a completely Prize Fighter or Scottie Pippen Slam City kind of way.

Bolvin also made this kick-ass video of Jazz fighting the General Lee. It's also notable for containing the "aaahahahahah... what fun!" Michael Madsen quote from the Yakuza voice sessions.
