History
After the the hero Anri defeated the Shadow Dragon Medeus, peace returned to all Archanea. King Cartas of Archanea gave his brother Marlon a large portion of land in the north. This land became the Kingdom of Aurelis, a proud and dedicated supporter of the Kingdom of Archanea.
Aurelis became Archanea's closest ally, but many of the Archanean nobles treated Aurelis as land meant for their illegal and immoral activities. The biggest violation came when the Archanean nobles started taking the people of Aurelis as a slaves for their own selfish reasons. Unable to sit by and allow these activities to continue, King Aurelis and his brother Prince Hardin launched an attack against the Archanean nobles. After successfully defeating the nobles, the brothers united all the people of Aurelis, and reestablished the sovereignty of Aurelis for all to respect and understand.
When the War of Shadows broke out, Aurelis was invaded by Princess Minerva of Macedon and the castle was lost in battle. Unwilling to surrender, the knights of Aurelis began a guerrilla war against the Macedonians, holding firm against their brutal assault. When General Ruben of Macedon abandoned his post and began looting the villages, the Aurelis Knights briefly allied with Princess Minerva to save the people. After his defeat, the Aurelis Knights retreated, and the war resumed along its tragic course.
After General Camus smuggled Princess Nyna out of Archanea, he led the princess to safety in Aurelis. Princess Nyna was then escorted to the border while Camus diverted the enemy away, and she joined with Hardin and became leader of the Aurelian Resistance. After Princess Nyna tried to fight the Macedonians head on, the army suffered a crippling blow, and they were once again forced to wait for help to arrive.
Two years later, Prince Marth and the Altean Army arrived in Aurelis, and united with Hardin and Nyna to liberate the land. After battling fierce opposition, the united army was able to defeat the Macedon army, and Aurelis became the first country liberated in the war. In a ceremony in Castle Aurelis, Princess Nyna presented the Fire Emblem to Prince Marth, and officially recognized him as the hero able to free the world from darkness.
In the War of Heroes, Aurelis played a much smaller roll than in the last war. At the request of Emperor Hardin, Captain Wolf deployed the Aurelian Knights to fight Marth at the Adria Peak in Archanea. Marth was unwilling to fight the knights, and met with King Aurelis in a small village in the mountains. The king explained that Empress Nyna sent him a letter explaining the situation with Hardin, and begged the Aurelian Knights to remain neutral in the war. The king ordered his knights to leave Archanea, and gave Marth his word that Aurelis would remain neutral in the conflict.

Marlon
The first king of Aurelis, he was given the land as a gift from his brother King Cartas of Archanea. Marlon swore loyalty to his brother, and the strong relationship between Aurelis and Archanea was born.
King Aurelis
The king of Aurelis during the War of Shadows, he and his younger brother Prince Hardin used guerrilla tactics to keep the Macedon army at bay. Having a history of weak health, the king was unable to have any children and intended for Hardin to become king after he passed away. Wanting to extend his life, the king spent a small fortune purchasing the Lifesphere from a travelling merchant, and used its power to improve his health. When he met Marth in the War of Heroes, he gave Marth the Lifesphere, and asked him to become the King of Aurelis after he passed on. Entrusting the future of the land to Marth, King Aurelis led his knights back to Aurelis, and eventually succumbed to his illness.
Prince Hardin FE12The prince of Aurelis, he worked with his brother to free the slaves from the tyrannical rule of the Archanean nobles. When the War of Shadows began, he used guerrilla tactics to fight the superior Macedon army, hoping to lower their numbers and morale over time, rather than engaging in a futile head to head battle. After the fall of Archanea, Princess Nyna arrived in Aurelis and Hardin became her protector, and against his better judgement he secretly fell in love with the princess. Years later, Prince Marth joined Hardin on the battlefield, and Hardin gave Marth control of the army, preferring to stay as Nyna's bodyguard. After the ended, Hardin and Nyna were married, and Hardin became the 24th king of Archanea. A few years later, Hardin began persecuting the aggressors of the War of Shadows, and the War of Heroes was ignited.
A young man from Aurelis, he used to work as a slave for the corrupt Archanean nobles. After Prince Hardin drove the nobles out, Wolf dedicated his life to serving Hardin and became one of the top knights in the Aurelian army. During the War of Shadows, Wolf served as the deputy leader of the Aurelian Knights, only second the Prince Hardin. After the war, he became leader of the elite Wolfguard, and was known as a respected knight. In the War of Heroes, Wolf served under Emperor Hardin until Sedgar convinced him to change sides. Depressed over betraying his lord, Wolf threw himself from battle to battle without any regard for his own life.

After Prince Hardin drove the nobles out, Sedgar dedicated his life to serving Hardin and became one of the top knights in the Aurelian army. During the War of Shadows, Sedgar served as a knight under the command of Prince Hardin and Wolf. After the war, Sedgar helped create the elite Wolfguard, and became the vice-captain. During the War of Heroes he served under Emperor Hardin until Vyland convinced him to switch sides, he then begged his long time friend Wolf to join with him.

After Prince Hardin drove the nobles out, Vyland dedicated his life to serving Hardin and became one of the top knights in the Aurelian army. During the War of Shadows, Vyland served as a knight under the command of Prince Hardin and Wolf. After the war, Vyland returned home where he reunited with his lifelong friends. During the War of Heroes, Vyland served under Emperor Hardin until Roshea convinced him to join with Marth.
A young man from Aurelis, he used to work as a slave for the corrupt Archanean nobles. After Prince Hardin drove the nobles out, Roshea dedicated his life to serving Hardin and became one of the top knights in the Aurelian army. During the War of Shadows, Roshea served as a knight under the command of Prince Hardin and Wolf. After the war, Roshea spent some time in Altea, but he later returned to Aurelis as a member of the Wolfguard. He reluctantly served under Emperor Hardin during the War of Heroes, however he joined with Marth when his king gave him permission. He later started the events which caused all the other knights to join with Prince Marth. After the war, Roshea traveled to a temple where he prayed for Hardin's soul.
Bathys
A pirate operating out of western Aurelis, while the army was busy fighting around the castle grounds, his group terrorized a small village on the outskirts of the country. His main objective was kidnapping children and forcing them to work as slaves, but doing so got him on the wrong end of Athena's sword. His pirate group was finally defeated when the Altean Army had liberated Aurelis from Macedon.
