I dont know if its because its because the Batman films seem twisted to me or that I always picture Val Kilmer as the man in the pointy ears, but this really reminds me of playing Batman on my megadrive and watching the outstanding cartoons.
Also doesnt hurt that the people making it also develped Urban Chaos: Riot Response, one of my favourite Xbox titles.

Batman: Arkham Asylum puts you behind the cowl of the iconic Dark Knight, fighting his way through Arkham Asylum to stop the Joker from enacting a sinister plot that would have grave consequences for Gotham City.
Im really excited about this game!
Given that I'm a nut for all the history behind Arkham Asylum, and I'm pretty sure that they won't be using ANY of that stuff for the story in this game...plus the fact that Arkham isn't THAT big of a place...trying to place the whole game there is relatively dumb to me.
I dont think this is a first person. Its true to the comics as it appernetly follows the Grant Morrisons graphical novels. I think that combat is going to be a huge part of it with a combo meter and given the dark material its meant to be based on violence which Gotham and Batman are, right? Yes there are detective parts, but theres also stealth to mix things up. In my opion I think the graphics are looking top notch the only thing that is slightly worrying is if it is only based in Arkham Asylum. But so far its got high expectations from me.
Graphics don't = good game. Look at Army of Two.

He is more than likely going with his own route on it...unless you've got some info somewhere that I haven't heard yet.
Hmmm, I like the style of the game, but not enough is really out there yet to make some serious predictions. I hope it's good.
I wish it was closer to 'Serious House on Serious Earth'. Everything had this sort of sick, twisted, dark, disturbing, stylized feel to it. This feels like they took a creepy place, and added in some characters from a kid's show.
