The bit Generations franchise is a collection of similarly themed games released in Japan for the Gameboy Advance in 2006. The series was intended to showcase games that went back to the basics of video gaming – foregoing fancy graphics, complicated control schemes, and intricate storylines in favor of simple, enjoyable gameplay.
With the launch of Nintendo's WiiWare service the bit Generations games were re-imagined in the Art Style franchise.
