So let's chop up where you guys think this franchise is going. Obviously there's not much in the way of canon spoilers because this game is set between 2 games that already exist. The thing that makes me scratch my head is how Athena is the narrator and Lilith orders her to be executed at the end of the story but as that's happening, a Guardian appears and stops the bullets mid flight from hitting her all Neo from the Matrix style. Then speaks that cryptic line where the Guardian says "there's a war coming" and "we'll need as many vault hunters as we can get". You guys think that means they're finally setting their sights on the long speculated Borderlands MMO? I mean i know Gearbox has that first person MOBA thing they're working on but i've also heard Gearbox HQ is massive. I think they even referenced it on the bombcast recently. What do you guys think? Think Borderlands 3 will be another of these types of games or will they move on to something new and fresh like a MMO or Destiny-ish game.?
