Post your best gun!
So, first of...my SMG proficiency is at 16 so I get +15% Damage, +36% reload speed, and +45% accuracy. On top of that, my class bonuses provid me with another +20% Reload Speed and +30% Recoil Reduction. But wait, there's more. I have the Revenge skill and combined with it's class modifier, it gives me +70% damage after killing an enemy for the next 5-6 seconds, which is pretty much all the time.
This SMG is so bad ass. It only requires short bursts to down almost any enemy. Half a magazine maybe for a brute one level higher than me at 46. Most guys, I just hit them with a short burst and they burn to death two seconds later. It's crazy. The fire damage just rolls off of them with huge numbers.
Finally happy I got something awesome!
I found one of those . Did you find it when you first fight the scarlet lance at old haven ?
Damage: 33%
Fire Rate: 66%
Accuracy: 99%
" @MB: I'm at level 37 for SMGs. I can't check the bonuses, but I believe they're damage, accuracy and fire rate. I know that at level 33, the bonuses were: Damage: 33% Fire Rate: 66% Accuracy: 99% "Bad ass. I kind of wish I had gone the Siren route...maybe when I get my Berserker to 50 and get bored of punching dudes. I'm going to miss the incredible survivability I have, though.
" @Fallen189: I didn't find anything orange until I was in my mid-40's. Lucky! Once I hit 47, I found three orange weapons in the same general area in crates. Two were junk SMG's compared to one I already had, and one was a revolver that regenerated ammo but did crap damage. Vendor trash, all of it. "Yeah, it was nice to find it, but as soldier, the SMG isn't really my thing. Plus, the accuracy is horrific, I can't hit a barn door with it ¬¬
I have finished the game, with a lvl 34 Siren, and my best gun in the game (by far) was...
A Glourious Havoc machine gun that a Lance Defender dropped:
Damage: 133
Accuracy: 94
Fire rate: 13
It's effective against anything, and it doesn't matter that it lacks zoom, beacause the accuracy is so darn good.
It just feel totally right!
Yeah, and it's fully automatical
I too found the Volcano sniper, it was found during an arid badland mission to find all of the gun parts to either the machine gun or sniper.
Sniper:
GGN350 Colbalt Volcano
272 DMG, 98.7 AC, .9 FR
Highly Effective vs Flesh, Chance to light enemies on fire, Pele dmenads a sacrifice, Very high chance of elemental.
It's worth 20,000! And it's orange!
as quoted before, need to be level 24 to use i believe, but yeah its badass!
@MrRams: I found the exact same Sniper in a chest in New Haven the day after I got the game... And I used it until level 40 ish. Keep it safe, let no one touch it!!
I found this sniper rifle on my first playthrough as a Hunter. The level requirement for it was 32.
Damage: 527
Accuracy: 98.7
Fire rate: 0.9
I was pretty chuffed with this.
" Found this revolver about 2 minutes after finding the same one - only this one does slightly more damage and shoots slower. I get right in bad guy grills and pop em right in the face. "that is massive lol
" @Napalm said:Nice." @clan4mack said:sure .." here's my current favourite weapons ..Could you do me a favor and roll over the three Shotguns in your inventory? I'm curious to see the stats on those weapons. "

But... did you hack the game?
" @clan4mack said:Those specs seem reasonable to me, especially considering the level requirements." @Napalm said:Nice. But... did you hack the game? I've started to like high accuracy shotguns; if you can get most of the spread to hit the target, the damage is quite epic. And with the high accuracy, you can do good dmg to things 20 yds away.
I envy his smg :(

Ofc I'm not hacking lol .. you'll see for yourself how easy it is to max out the money at the end of playthru #2. For example a white gun could vendor for $175,000 .. so a full inventory can bring you in a tonne of money." @kwyee said:

np bud, aye i can understand why it looks dodgy .. but seriously, money in playthru #2 isn't even an issue (despite the $1m+ fee for using new-u), in fact as I go around questing in the last few zones it's quite common for me to leave stuff on teh ground if it's not worth more than $100k .. crazy hehe

Does it all just scale to your current level and bump everything up or does it all stay at the same level?
" @clan4mack said:Most ppl start playthru #2 somewhere between lvl 32-36 .. the mobs in fyrestone start at about 32-34. The main difference you'll see is there's more of them, and instead of having 'badass' mobs, you'll get 'badmutha' mobs which are much tougher. It's quite possible to have a couple of tough mobs coming at you at the same time too. As you'd expect, as you make your way thru the game in playthru #2 everything is much harder, with the mobs either just below you in level or just above as you go through. The good thing is that the loot is much better .. whites alone sell for silly prices, lots of greens, blues and purples drop - more than I remember for the first playthru. Imo the first playthru is pretty straight-forward - the 'real' game begins in playthru #2 :P" np bud, aye i can understand why it looks dodgy .. but seriously, money in playthru #2 isn't even an issue (despite the $1m+ fee for using new-u), in fact as I go around questing in the last few zones it's quite common for me to leave stuff on teh ground if it's not worth more than $100k .. crazy hehe "How does the leveling happen in playthrough two? These are probably my two favourite weapons atm. Currently looking for a decent Hellfire SMG with x4 Incendiary and a decent Double Anarchy with relatively decent accuracy and x4 damage.
57x11 Damage
0 Accuracy
4.2 Fire Rate
+150% Melee Damage
+106% Damage
+100000% Burst Fire Count
Yeah, and I have the heavy gunner soldier class mod which increases magazine size so I get to shoot it four times within about 3 seconds.
Also, this badass shield I've been using for almost 13 levels.
TRG-1500C Tough Guy Shield
159 Capacity
27 Recharge Rate
+40% Health
So far my best gun is an orange shotgun that I found in a random Skag Pile
Level 25
77x7 damage
"Cross their heart hope they die" Shoots in a cross pattern instead of a spread pattern like normal
86 Accuracy
1.5 fire rate
3x explosive damage
18 round clip
So far still the gun to pull out when I get in a bind
Alright guys. I'm going to retrieve the very last piece of the Vault Key. I've collected some serious weaponry, but I'm only using four weapons. Here is the heavy artillery:
HX 430 Malevolent Stinger (Submachine Gun) (39 round clip)
Damage: 56
Accuracy: 90.2
Fire Rate: 12.5
+37% Reload Speed
+62% Recoil Reduction
+33% Fire Rate
+23% Damage
ZPR10 Blast Death (Shotgun) (5 shell clip)
Damage: 48x7
Accuracy: 74.6
Fire Rate: 1.9
x3 Explosions (High Chance)
BLR6/V2 Nasty Rebel (Machine Pistol) (36 round clip)
Damage: 89
Accuracy: 73.3
Fire Rate: 5.7
NEVER STOP SHOOTING!
+41% Fire Rate
+24% Magazine Size
+34% Damage
Leviathan (Launcher)
Damage: 404
Accuracy: 91.7
Fire Rate: 1.2
IT RISES!
2.7 x Weapon Zoom
So, this last battle should be quite interesting.
Well, they all worked fine for me. The submachine gun is what I used mostly because it has such a high rate of fire and quick reload. However, I won't give any spoilers away, but after that battle, and the shit hits the fan, all of those weapons are now obsolete. I'm now picking up all CL weapons and a high-damage revolver because everything else is severely underpowered." @Napalm: Apart from the pistol they dont sound that impressive im sorry to say "
Well, this game certainly turned crazy pretty quick.

It seems closer to the end, it doesn't matter whether your weapons have elemental effects or not, all that seems to matter is firepower. Which, I'm not really complaining, because I only recently got into elemental weapons within the past six or seven levels. But even my x3 elemental weapons don't do jackshit against these hardened fucking robots (no they aren't really robots. I'm masking the identity of the enemy for those who aren't where I am.)
