So, do You think Jeff Should also Review the PC Version?
The Bots are awful, making the campaign awful, especially as it is just the same maps as MP, the map selection is a little slim but open to expansion, but the gameplay is pretty solid. Jeff isn't the kind of person who would enjoy such a PC style MP shooter. If you're into games like TF2 that play nothing like CoD or Halo, then you should check Brink out.
That said, no, it should not be reviewed again, and sure as hell won't be. The review is done. I think they should make it very clear that that is based on the console game and that the game is FAR better suited to a PC environment, both from a hardware point of view and a community point of view.
" @RiotBananas: I wasn't comparing the quality of the two games, just that the Quick Look (and in Brink's case, the reviews as well) aren't the best reflection of the game's strengths. In Brink's case, Jeff's dislike of the worst parts of the game is understandable but there is a fairly lacking commentary from him or other reviewers on the game's few good points - due in large part to the lack of a community for playing multiplayer during the review cycle/time frame. I guess that is me defending the game...but I see it more as me not agreeing with the way people are calling it shit without having played it.I guess I'm saying the "Brink is shit" talk is somewhat equivalent (or at least reminiscent for me) to the "Demon's Souls is too hard and thus shit" talk in terms of how quickly a game can acquire a reputation based on a few opinions that are then repeated by people who have not and will never play the game regardless. "
Stop fucking deluding yourself because you feel the necessity to defend a less than great game you purchased, we've all been there. Also, please stop comparing this game to Demon Souls, taking people saying the game is too hard, thus bad to heart is the equivalent to listening to anything 360 Republic yells out. Lastly, the games strengths? You shoot dudes in the face, WOOOOAH. When the game isn't suffering from connection issues you have the joy of doing shitty team objectives where everyone goes to that specified class due to there being no weapon restrictions on any of them.
" @Oginam said:Wow you really showed him a thing or two about being mature and not deluding himself. Look at you posting attacks at people who like a game. IT'S A FUCKING GAME SO WHAT IF HE LIKES PLAYING IT. You don't need to come on these forums and troll like a little bitch about a game you don't even play." @RiotBananas: I wasn't comparing the quality of the two games, just that the Quick Look (and in Brink's case, the reviews as well) aren't the best reflection of the game's strengths. I never implied anything about maturity, nor am I trolling, but cool story, bro. Second, if he like the game so much he should go an play it rather than tell people they're wrong for not.
