I'm pretty much sold on the game. The stupid action seems like it will scratch a gaming itch I have had for awhile. However, I will still wait on the reviews. I'm not 100% confident this style of score chasing will maintain its fun factor throughout an entire game, let alone playing through levels multiple times.

Stylish, ludicrous kills net big points in this ridiculously over-the-top first-person shooter.
Who's getting this?
Yea I think I might pass on this one, I feel like after a while the combos will get repetitive and aside from that it'll be just another shooter. Plus I'm saving my money for the other stuff I want this year and I'm still playing catch up from last year.
I really like the demo, if score running that one small segment was any indication I'm gonna get a lot of mileage out of it. If it weren't for the 'attitude,' this would probably be a day one for me. As it stands I definitely plan on trying to find it cheap in a couple months.
I really like their philosophy behind the gameplay and making games fun, but it's a shame about everything surrounding that gameplay. When I read the initial gameinformer article about a cool, fun sci fi adventure I was psyched, but now that I've seen and heard the dialogue and the silly tone they're going for, kinda ruins it for me. Everything sounds like it was written by a 14 year old me. Gameplay still looks fun as hell and I will definitely be grabbing it sometime down the road, just not for 60 dollars at launch.
Im pretty sure im gonna get it,but i will wait for the reviews first.
After playing loads of RPG games i'm just itching for an FPS game like this.
i'm gonna rent it, and buy kz3 which comes out the same day. was a hard choice to make. well not really.
The design/mechanics in the demo didn't impress me really. The combo kills are a cool idea but they felt gimmicky and didn't add to the fun and the drabness of the designs made it seem like a pedestrian shooter relying on gimmicky writing and violence. I'll wait for reviews and perhaps a QL of the full game before making up my mind one way or the other though, as it was only a short demo.

Probably will get it day 1 just to be safe.
My initial thoughts of the game were that I couldn't tell if this game was stupid in the awesome kind of way or just plain stupid. After playing the demo, I'm kinda leaning toward the latter. All the skill shot thingies seem like they would be fun for about two hours and then just become boring. Are the points good for anything besides the high scores? If it acted like experience points or currency and you could purchase upgrades, then it would seem a lot more fun to me.
Decided to pre-order during Octoberish, which is where the good marketing ended, and the terrible marketing began.
" @SuperfluousMonikerSame here, played that demo level like 10 times. I like the game itself but i also helped that the gears 3 beta was packaged in with it.I really like the demo, if score running that one small segment was any indication I'm gonna get a lot of mileage out of it. "This, except I also think something felt off about the aiming, and won't be buying it regardless of critical reception.
A bummer, really. The game looked like a blast (and I love the idea of a first-person shooter in the vein of a Kamiya-directed action game, with crazy combos and scoring).
I was sold before the demo. I'm tired of first person shooters like Modern Warfare, they just don't do it for me. I want a game where I can run in a beat the shit out of everything and just playing the demo shows me just how much this game delivers to what I want. I'm going to tear this thing up on the release.
