As long-time Bomber will know, the Bombcast crew are quite fond of imagining what games would be like...(wait for it) ON THE MOON! Of course, often its just done as an example of the most insane, over-the-top setting one could imagine. 
 
Which is why its so amusing to me that among the abandoned ideas for Burnout Paradise was in fact plans for driving your cars/motorcycles on the Moon. Apparently it they had a fully functional version, with wonky gravity for moon-specific challenges and races. 
 
Among some of the other ideas at the very least discussed: both planes and helicopters, underground (as in subterranean) races, time travel and car versus motorcycles races. All interesting sounding, though nothing quite as heart-warming as races ON THE MOON!

I like the time traveling idea.  That would have been sweet.

 When I first saw this news story this morning I was all "no way!" then immediately went "ON THE MOOOOON!" I really hope this gets mentioned on the final bombcast of the year so I can once again hear Vinny say, "ON THE MOOOOON!"
