I think it game violence was more realistic itd actually have the opposite of making it look cool like mainstream media suggests.
 
And the CoD games do a good job of making war and violence a very not-so-happy thing, and its never just black-and-white.

Modern Warfare 2 had you stab a dude with your hand over his mouth and then look into his eyes as the life drained away and then you pulled a knife out of yourself and threw into another dudes eye. Come on Treyarch give us at least one good scene of gratuitous  violence.

THIS IS EASILY THE MOST VIOLENT CALL OF DUTY GAME. 
Wait till you have actually played it before condemning  them for toning down the violence.
