    Modern Warfare 2

Possible the biggest release of 2009, the much awaited sequel to one of 2007's biggest seller, Modern Warfare 2 has already sold over 5 million copies in just the US and the UK. But is the game really worthy of all this fanfare? Let's first start with the story.

STORY: The story starts off 5 years after the first Modern Warfare, with the Ultra Nationalist having gained power in Russia even with the effort of the United States Marines and the British SAS. The story is full of holes though quite Clancyesque and a little short. Though the story is quite darker than it's predecessor and with some twists that will leave you speechless.

TECH: The story also sends you to some exotic locations including the streets of Rio de Janeiro, a oil derrick of the coast of Russian, and even fighting in Washington D.C. The graphic are awesome and the step up from the first Modern Warfare. There crisp and clear and look great. The sound is great too with the sounds of gunfire and explosions sounding realistic and clear.

GAMEPLAY: The game play is exciting and fun. Blasting through the streets of Rio, or blowing away Russians in D.C there's never a dull moment. The controls are easy and responsive which to the fun.

MULTIPLAYER: Now this is what everyone loved about the first Modern Warfare, the fast, easy and fun multiplayer. This fortunately is also included in this installment as well. They same multiplayer that was in the first is in the second with a few tweaks. First there are now Death streaks, a sort of backup if you suck several times in a row. There are some new perks and some new Kill streaks ranging from the old UAV and airstrike to the new AC-130 and the Predator missile.  But I do have a problem with the how the perks can easily be turned from fun to dickish especly the Nuke perk.

FINAL SAY: The game is awesome, graphics and game play all come together with an top notch multiplayer for a great time, though the only problem I have is with the story, but I tend to nitpick. But if the story isn’t a problem then

Game play 4/5 (no real changes to the equation but still good)

    Graphics 5/5 (top notch)

Story 3/5 (a little short and a few plot holes but still thrilling, though you get some fridge logic after the end.)

Entertaining singleplayer, addictive multiplayer & co-op to boot! 0

Modern Warfare 2 takes place five years after the events of of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Despite your best efforts, the ultra-nationalist have wrangled control of Russia proclaiming Zakhaev, everyone's favourite one-armed bad guy, as a national hero and political martyr. As in previous Call of Duty games, you step inside the body of several distinct characters over the course of  the campaign's five to seven hours of gameplay. Though entertaining, the story itself twist and turns so radica...

      Even more Modern Warfare-r 0

Coming into Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, I had a high set of expectations, primarily set by Infinity Ward's previous game; Call of Duty 4. CoD4 came completely out of left field for me, revitalising my interest in what I believed to be a tired, played-out franchise; the change of setting, compelling campaign, and addictive multiplayer making it one of my top 5 games of 2007. Riding in on this wave of euphoria and excitement Modern Warfare 2 had a lot to live up to.   The campaign follows a si...
