Yes I played the first Call of Duty when it came out and remember thinking to myself that war, war never ends.

I played the first Call of Duty on PC and honestly just couldn't get into it. Didn't really care about the series until Modern Warfare and stopped caring after MW2.

Man, Call of Duty was the first real PC game I ever had. I must of played that game all night. It's funny seeing what the franchise became, I really miss the more low key earlier games where a massive set piece was just defending a house, and the story of just a few soldiers' path through the war.

Call of Duty (the first one) is a very very good game.

I played the first one during it's time and loved it. I was a big fan of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault so I followed the talent when they moved on to CoD.

I think you should rename your thread to "I played Call of Duty when it was still good". Perks, killstreaks, and a bunch of unbalanced bullshit fucking ruined those games. CoD 1 and 2 on the PC are hands down the best in the series.

The first game was "cool" before it even came out. It was made by the guys who'd created MoH which was big and popular at the time.

I got Big Red One for Christmas one year. It was pretty bad. And I bought CoD 4 on the day it came out because it looked cool, totally unaware of the hype about it or the monster it would become.

First one was great. Second one was cool too, but I never completed it. I felt it dragged on too much. COD4 is probably my favourite in the series, but I couldn't get on board with Modern Warfare 2 at all.

I was shooting real people in their real faces before it became cool to do it in a videogame.

played em all except mw3, played a shit load of 1and2 online back inn the day and t a bit of MW and 2

after mw2 that was enough COD for me.

I played 1 at a LAN center a good amount, and I own 2. After that, the series didn't really appeal to me anymore.

I played the shit out of the first one on PC. First game I played online I believe. Blew my mind back in the day. Call of Duty has always been pretty cool I think.

Big Red One was never cool. Not even in a hipster-doofus way. CoD 1 and it's expansion however were pretty great back in the day. As was CoD 2 (on the PC).
