I'm not sure what the best game is to me, but 4 is the best to my friend bob
Call of Duty
Originally starting as a World War II-themed first-person shooter, the Call of Duty franchise now incorporates other time periods and conflicts and can be found on virtually every modern platform.
What is the best Call of Duty game to you.
@ChristianCastillo said:If you are trying to say Call of Duty was a copy of Medal of Honor, as it was on the PSX in 1999, you're mad. Call of Duty most closely resembles MoH: Allied Assault, developed by 2015 and released in 2002 on the PC. Elements of 2015 went on to create Infinity Ward and released Call of Duty less than two years after. Consider it more of an evolution and it was at that point that Medal of Honor went downhill.I like the original Call of Duty because it was original.Actually, it was just a copy of Medal of Honour that came out 4 years before it and all the other WWII shooters of the time. I have never been a fan of the series to be honest. I guess I liked 4 for a little while, but it got old fast and I have never been a fan of any of the other ones.
CoD4 followed by Black Ops in second. I would note that I generally play the multiplayer...so thats what I'm rating them based upon.
Black ops
enjoyable if a bit too on rails singleplayer
refined multiplayer with the best new addition (splitscreen online multiplayer!!!!!)
Zombie mode returns and even better than before.
If we were just talking singleplayer then probably 2.
I really like 4. Looked amazing, came out of nowhere. Runs well on console and PC. Has a good story and multiplayer and revived a franchise that I liked and could've been dead by now.
The older ones are good, too, but seem really dated now. I remember a LAN with a couple hundred people, we installed it there and took 2nd place...so much fun.
The newer ones are more of the same, but also pretty good. Also, the co-op is the best part of them imho.

Whatever your opinion on it may be, it only existed because of other games that made the genre popular at the time.@ChristianCastillo said:If you are trying to say Call of Duty was a copy of Medal of Honor, as it was on the PSX in 1999, you're mad. Call of Duty 4. Some of the best multiplayer shooting I've played to date, and a thoroughly enjoyable singleplayer campaign.
Call of Duty 2. Should have made a poll because nobody wants to read six pages of people saying the same things over and over again. :|
@Alexander said:Copycat and refinement are two different things (by definition, that's not opinion). Considering what I explained, I was hoping you'd see to say "copy" is perhaps the wrong word to use, "copycat" even more so because it implies a lesser product (think of clothing where copycat high street stores imitate high-end designer labels). I don't know if you knew about part of 2015 going on to be Infinity Ward, but if you didn't then that's one more thing to know.@crusader8463 said:I was just saying that it was not original but a copycat and/or refinement of other games from the time.@ChristianCastillo said:If you are trying to say Call of Duty was a copy of Medal of Honor, as it was on the PSX in 1999, you're mad. Whatever your opinion on it may be, it only existed because of other games that made the genre popular at the time.A popular genre existed and Call of Duty wasn't the first in the genre. I didn't suggest otherwise and I didn't say Call of Duty was original, I wasn't siding with the other guy I was disagreeing with both of you.
While it's not strictly Call of Duty my favourite game was Medal of Honour: Allied Assault since it was the first one I played and it's made by basically the same studio. If I had to pick an actual CoD game though, then probably CoD 2 since it was before a lot the console bollocks got added and WWII is one of my favourite settings. MW was good and I loved the bullet penetration it added but it's super spammy. I didn't play MW2 since it had no dedicated servers.
I'd almost be tempted to pick World at War but it's slightly ruined for me by the perks and abundance of explosives.
