I know Steam was taking pre-orders for the game before it was released, but it's currently launch day for the game, and the product isn't purchasable through the Steam Store. I really don't want to go to Gamestop or some other digital destination for downloading. Does Steam activate titles for purchase at some specific time during the day? Or is there something wrong with my Steam account?

It's listed on my end, but there's no option to purchase it.  Strange.

Ya, I've got it listed as unlocking in one hour too.

I think the Steam page for CO is perhaps bugged. It hasn't had a purchase button on there for ages and the game is officially released now.

I hope it actually is released in an hour... it was supposed to be released earlier this morning but nothing happened :/

just bought it a second ago and its downloading. though usually when steam mmorpgs are purchased they give you the info for registering your account right away. so lets see how this turns out.

Steam gives that to you when the game starts. Or that is how I have gotten keys from them in the past. "

so i have to wait for the game to dl before i get the key? i already have the game dl i was in the head start and i dont want to go back to gamestop to buy the box copy

its finished downloading for me but i still have no key. WTF

Ok so here is how i got my key;
 
Right click on champions online in steam and click properties.
 
Go to local files.
 
Press verify integrity.
 
Once that has finished right click champions online again and press manage account. Your key should be there.

nothing at all has come up ever. the game won't even launch. i've deleted the local content and started downloading again. nothing about managing account has come up or has been selectable.

You have to exit steam the start steam up again.  After that just go to my games and right click champions online. Then click on "manage game account". "

What's the deal? I bought CO on steam and now when I enter my key it shows me the different subscription plans and I can'lt log in. Do I need to pay for a subscription EVEN THOU I have 30 days free?

I just bought the game and registered. I may go get a gamecard later. You don't have to choose any payment method, they try to trick you (hit Cancel button). You have 30 days.

But do I still need to enter my credit card information? Because at the moment, the "Patch" button is greyed out and the launcher says the servers are down :(

Nevermind! I clicked the cancel button and that registered my key. VERY WEIRD way of doing things cryptic.....

does anyone else have the problem of steam not even loading the game? i can goto the launcher and manually get it to boot, but no through steam.
 
something about the file begin names champions online.exe with a space in between it seems like something that wouldn't work right.
