Also, as a big fan of well placed jump scares, I think it was pretty good.

I jumped, didn't jump as badly as when Dead Space did it, but I still jumped.

I jumped out of my chair when a psychopath killed me and I had to start all the way on the other side of the map because I didn't save in a fucking bathroom.

It was completely unnecessary to the point of making me hate it so hard it cancelled out the jump.

I wasn't that focused, so it didn't make me jump, but my dad happened to be watching the ending with me and I saw him jump a little. Haha.

I haven't played a second of Dead Rising 2 but just from reading the first two posts in this thread I know exactly what you're talking about.

The thing is that the volume levels are all fucked so that the jump scare is much louder than everything else in the scene.

i jumped, and almost pissed myself. one of the best jump scares i have seen.

I'm super macho and hardcore. Only a babby or wuss would be scared of that.   

But, seriously, it gave me the jolt! Totally reminded me of those German energy drink commercials.   

Mother fuckers. I was expecting something to happen but I was concentrating on the rope, then boom. I was already pretty tense from the last fight too.

I jumped, and I had my brother in the room with me (who is much younger and didn't jump at all) so I had to try to play it off right away like I was not as startled as I actually was.
