Dead Space
Game » consists of 13 releases. Released Oct 14, 2008
Engineer Isaac Clarke battles a polymorphic virus-like alien infestation that turns human corpses into grotesque undead alien monsters called "Necromorphs" while trying to survive on board an infested interstellar mining ship named the USG Ishimura.
What system did you buy Dead Space on?
Why would someone buy both versions as long as they still have a copy they can play? Other than graphics and frame rate, there isn't any significant advantage to owning the PC version that I know of. I can understand buying a PC copy of, say, Skyrim or Battlefield 3 if you already had the console versions, but Dead Space?
Anyway, I bought it on Xbox 360 because I have neither a good enough PC nor a PS3 in my room. The PS3 is my brother's.
Bought both 1 and 2 for PC. Dead Space 2 had the honour of being one of the last few games I played on my PC before the graphics card decided to spontaneously combust. Been thinking of buying the Game of the Year edition of 2 for PS3 though.
PC.
Dead Space 2 played and looks a lot better, but I still liked the first one more-- even with the somewhat janky mouse aiming ^^

It was $2 on Steam.
Bought it on PC and entered the true realm of horror: getting the damn thing to work. After fixing some issues with VSYNC (I originally thought the controls were just supposed to be sluggish, you know.... to enhance the horror) and realizing that I had to unplug my joystick if I didn't want Issac to just do the Twirlybird all day, I had a great time (and played with a 360 controller).
@Commander_Crichton: You definitely should. They don't really lack much from a graphical stand-point on the consoles. Dead Space 2 less so and there's more content on the console versions (if you choose to buy DLC). I'd say the thing that makes Dead Space look better on PC that the PS3 version lacks is the speed. You can have a very fast frame-rate on PC, and it just makes everything feel different, and some of the detail is better by a small margin, but hardly noticeable. As for Dead Space 2, what makes the PC version look slightly better is the lighting. Or, whatever the lens flare is, whenever someone shines a light your way, or a light source is coming your way, it looks better, other than that, not much else, or nothing else differs. Anyways, like I said, I definitely recommend you pick it up.
@ImmortalSaiyan: I just kind of want to see (from this site), which version was bought most. That's kind of it. You say that in an assuming way, as if I were part of the development team at Visceral or something, and need to know this keeping my identity a secret, ha ha, not that case if so.
@Zacagawea: What?

@valrog: How so? You're not one to buy the same game on another platform? There are people that do that.
Now that I mention it, I did that a couple of times, but it was for PS2 games that I bought on PC as well. But I don't really see the point in getting a single game for let's say both 360 and PS3.
I'm just wondering, why Dead Space in particular?
