" http://www.examiner.com/examiner/x-12218-Video-Game-Examiner~y2010m2d9-Demons-Souls-2-announcement-incoming I wonder if they will keep it in Boletria or go somewhere completely different. "One can only hope.
DS was set in an Anglo-Saxon, English location. Though I doubt they'll change that for the sequel, I'd love to see them make a spiritual, rather than a direct, sequel, so as to have a completely different setting in terms of technology and location. Modern-times DS would be pretty awesome, especially if they add a better narrative.
I would have loved to see the Nexus replaced with a small/medium sized open world area and a horse. Kind of like Zelda or Shadow of the Colossus. Not as big and empty as in SotC, but filled with people, additional/optional merchants, side quests a`la Mephistopheles assassination missions, as well as stuff like Sparkly the Crow etc. Maybe some minor optional dungeons as well. The Arch stones could still exist in some kind of temple, providing the choice to teleport to a world you`ve already visited, making exploration of this bigger hub more or less optional.
A Demon's Souls 2 would be a dream come true. Hope that it is. All though I'm curious as to how their going to improve the game. The first one was all round great experience and the boss fight's were pretty epic (a few of them lacking a bit.....and world 5's bosses being complete joke's). Wonder if the second one is going to be set in the same setting or it's going to something different.
Yeah I would like to see an extension to the multiplayer where you could play through a long brutally hard campaign. Kind of like playing 1-1 through 1-4, only achievable :p
Oh God, I'd love a Demon's Souls 2. I'll be ready for a good hard game by then if it actually comes out.
" @Korne: Some dude invaded my game and took out every enemy before waving at me and jumping off a cliff. THIS GAME IS AWESOME "
Seriously... I don't want anyone else to try this type of online play... but I'm so glad From Software did it! It is so unique, funny, awesome, ect
I would have played that game a lot more if it weren't for Man Centipedes. Fucking hell, they seriously scare me.
(If you don't know, they're the things you first find in the blood river in world 3-2.) I did that bit once, but then forgot to hit the chains. Then I jumped off, got black world tendency, and got attacked by a black phantom Man Centipede. Since then, I have been forever afraid. I tried once again with eroticfishcake who, bless his soul, killed every one of them. But alas, we got stuck in a cage.
kinda hard to believe though since the date on the link says Feb 9th of 2010 and in the blog it says that its likely to be scheduled this fall. It's already past fall and I kinda don't see From Software mentioning any new releases thats related to this. Though hopefully yeah I hope its true since this is the game that finally made my PS3 stop eating dirt last year. :p
