It's come that time again where I'm forced to choose the platform.
Saw it on Steam for fuckin' $45 with Achievements which basically
kills the 360 price. What does anybody else think?
Will my Intel Core 5 quadcore with 8G RAM be able to handle it?
Or should I just wait for the price cut for the 360 version?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
Game » consists of 17 releases. Released Aug 23, 2011
Human Revolution is the third game in the Deus Ex series, a prequel where players take control of augmented security officer Adam Jensen, and investigate attacks against Sarif Industries, a leader in augmentation technology.
PC or 360?
Gotta know your graphics specs, dude. If you have integrated graphics or are running on a laptop that isn't a gaming laptop, then you might be able to run it in the lowest settings on the lowest resolution.
Also make sure you can comfortably play PC shooters. Sure, I can aim better with the mouse, but I simply don't want to become a PC gamer right now because I can't get comfortable on a keyboard and mouse no matter my position and posture. So check that as well.
PC obviously. We're well into that swing again where things are much more desirable on PC than on consoles. More than half of my autumn preorders are on PC.
Plus I got the Steam version for $29. Xbox would be $60.

If you have a good PC, why even ask ''which version'' ?
If you don't have a proper setup to play PC comfortably, doesn't matter how good your PC is. I prefer sitting back on a couch, with a controller, on my HDTV, than hunched over 5 inches away from a monitor.
I hook up my PC to the TV every now and again and plugin my controller, but I know thats not the option for everyone.

Do people still buy PC's?
Smart people do.. the rest is buying avatar marketplace T-Shirts.
LOL. Reading your posts makes me think you don't have a PC.
I think it's a $150 HD Radeon card from a couple years@Lind_L_Taylor: Your graphics card is quite important to know, but yes, you should be fine if its on par with your other stuff.
PC version is superior - looks much better, mouse and controller, cheaper, HD. No real choice to make.
back. I've played Spore, Blood Bowl, Star Trek Online,
Champions Online, Dark Spore, Magicka, EVE, bit.triprunner,
Braid, Magicka, Portal, & Kotor. Nothing heavy duty, but I
think it can play it. NWN 1 & 2.
I'd just hate to buy a new PC game off Steam & find out
that it doesn't work.
Bitch I be buying hats.@DonPixel said:

LOL, u play pc? go back to Farmville!
Anyway, yeah. If you have a powerful enough PC, the choice should be obvious. Otherwise, you're only really missing out on better graphics, which isn't as big a deal as some elitest users her will have you believe.

Lay off the enter key.
As long as we aren't talking about a poor port, PC will always be my platform of choice.

No, not really. Steam just happens to be making massive bank off of their PS3/360/Wii market.

If your pc could play Dark Spore and such well, I don't think you have to worry. I've been reading about people playing the leaked beta/demo thing, and apparently it's really well optimized even on older systems. Hopefully they just straight up release an official demo so we don't have to feel dirty about it.
I'm gunna go ahead and guess that if you have those specs for CPU and RAM, you probably have a good video card. So PC.
Chances are, if you have to ask, the answer is PC.
Well the price is $45 on Steam, not $60 on the Xbox which is
fucking ridiculous. And there are achievements. ACHIEVEMENTS!!
So there is no reason not to have it on the PC. I think the fuckers
at Microsoft need to start lowering their prices a bit. It's always max
price for every fucking release, when you can look on the PC & see
it $15 off right on release! Softy is not making the Xbox financially
sensible & I think moving forward, for every game that comes out
on Steam cheaper than the 360, guess what? Fuck you Softy! I'm
buying the PC version until you get your head out of your ass &
start offering a goddamn discount to your formerly loyal fans.
Then why even bother spending the money for the gaming PC?@zaglis said:

Better graphics, better framerate, PC exclusive games. Same reasons anyone would get a gaming PC. Just that sometimes I play it while sitting on the couch,
Playing Arkham Asylum with all the highest settings, maxed out AA, and PhysX on an HDTV is awesome. And its one of the games that using a keyboard + mouse feels nowhere near as good as using a controller.
FYI, if you use 'Green Man Gaming' (basically the UK's answer to steam) you can use a 20% off code and get this for $34 US.
Granted, you have to pay with a PayPal account, but the installation instructions literally say "Download Steam, enter the activation code" and all their codes are region free.
You mean like Dragon Age 2 where it was going for $60 on release, Laketown?@Lind_L_Taylor: it's not 15$ off, it's 5; PC games are 50, despite what EA thinks
I'm sure they all want you to pay $60 where possible.
I just picked it up the PC/Steam copy for $34 on greenmangaming. It's already 15% off with pre-order, and another 20% with a summer coupon on the site. I'm not even that interested in the game, but at that price I was losing money not buying it.

Just to give you an idea of how stupid your comment looks.Making fun of avatar items or Kinect is like making fun of PC users for Facebook.Anyway, yeah. Mods will likey be a thing with this game, considering it's a Deus Ex game, and controls will of course be more precise.
