    Overview

    If the legends of Sinnoh are to be believed Dialga was created by the Pokémon Arceus very early on in the history of the universe. In Pokémon Diamond Version and Pokémon Platinum Version Cyrus, leader of Team Galatic tries to use Dialga to destroy the universe and create one anew, with him as the god. Cyrus is able to summon Dialga (along with Palkia in Platinum Version) atop Spear Pillar, the peak of Mt. Coronet, and comes dangerously close to destroying the universe. In Diamond Version the player manages to avert disaster by battling against Dialga and either defeating or capturing it, and in Platinum Version the player manages to thwart Cyrus and trap him inside a portal to the Distortion World created by Dialga and Palkia. Like most legendary Pokémon Dialga is genderless. It also posses a unique move called Roar of Time which damages it's opponents by creating a rift in the space-time continuum.
