A lot of people like to shit on this game, but seeing gameplay footage for the first time, I think it looks great.

DmC Devil May Cry is a reboot of the series from developer Ninja Theory, featuring a redesigned Dante and a new take on the franchise's fiction.
TGS DmC Gameplay
Definitely looks way better than previous NT games' combat, I'm a lot more optimistic/interested after the TGS footage/trailer.
Not liking the slo-mo zoom-in execution-y looking parts, however. Devil trigger mechanic is really weird as well.
I was initially annoyed with the redesign when the game was first announced but have quickly gotten over it. In fact I think it looks good with the new mood and atmosphere they are putting into this game. The gameplay too looks solid so the key worry I had of NT ruining the gameplay seems to be avoided.
I'm not a fan of the slow-motion in the combat, but otherwise it looks like more Devil May Cry, and I very much enjoy my Devil May Cry.
also i think that the animation is pretty great looking. also interesting that they gave dante a female companion - i wonder if it's mary? looking forward to playing it a bit more now. also dante can jump really really high now, wow

I hope that's not the Devil Trigger. He should.. you know, look like a Devil when that happens.
I would place a bet that it is the devil trigger. (You're talking about the second video where his hair goes white and coat red, and enemies just float in the air until it's over, right?)

Looks fine to me.. looked fine to me before XD Weird how all the comments in the GT thing is that someone changed his face, he looks exactly the same.. weird rational of fans XP
I didn't read the comments, but they did change his face due to fan outcry. Before, Dante had grey hair and a mutated forehead.
Not seeing the difference, he still looks like this:@Catolf said:

It's the same, just no gray/white on the back of his head.
This is after?..
This is after, he just looks less like he got the shit kicked out of him. Not seeing why everyone is fawning and acting like these is some giant difference, all we got is: Less beat up, less bang and no white on the back of his head. Same Dante they used before. XP
Okie dokie.@Catolf: You should make a comparison using in-game footage of the old Dante instead of concept art and then you'll see a difference.
Lots more bang this time around.
This is where I could agree about the brow, looks a little thicker, this could also be light effects from how he's furrowing, and thus what i already said the bangs and no white on the back of the head.
Other than that.. it's the same dante. XP

@Catolf: His eyes are extremely different and more expressive. He looks less skinny/boney, less pale and he has a smaller forehead. His hairstyle is much better as well. So I still disagree that he's the same Dante as before.
Yeah, and something about the way he acted in the gameplay you posted reminds me of the old Dante I know and love.
Top: TGS 11 gameplay
Bottom TGS 10 reveal trailer
Definitely a significant difference.
@Catolf: Edit: Nevermind, my bad. I see you were comparing them to the last picture you posted from the '11 footage.
I know it might have already been picked up on this but I just noticed they basically combined Dante and Nero in this game since Dante has the equivalent of the Devil Bringer thingie Nero had in 4. Gameplay looks solid. The character design doesn't bug me as much as it did but nothing can be done about that.
Looks good enough for me, but we'll see.
Heh...so what's the over-under on the lady friend being a red head?
I watched about a minute of the first trailer and I was satisfied. He still doesn't look like Dante but he sure does look a lot better than he used to. Gameplay seems... okay. I'll wait until I can feel how similar it is to the other series.
