Someone please tell me if Dragon age 2 is good ?? 
 
I have to wait 3 more fucking days I'm literally dying here :< 

Has no one played it yet ?  
 
Didn't it come out the other day in America ? 

They're obviously too busy playing it, so that's a tell in its' own. 
Besides it's morning there. Most haven't woken up from playing all night. :P

It came out today in the US, I think. And it's early morning over there, so the only people who have played it went to a midnight launch.

I have to wait too,  release day is thursday here. But I am convinced that DA2 is a good game, I played the demo.

Playing it now, I'm finding it hard to stop. The amount of side content is pretty staggering, and the quests are much better crafted. Loving the dialogue too; it's legitimately funny. 
 
I'd hate to give advice having only played 8 hours of it so far.. but it seems very easy to recommend the game.

What's up with the lack of reviews except for PC Gamer?  I was expecting more for sure on release day.

It's about 8am here in America (I'm in the Midwest, so add or subtract an hour or two for either coast).  Give the rest of my country time to wake up to bitch or brag.  We need our sleep.

I'll be picking my copy up in about an hour, but then I have to go take a test in my programming class :(

I'm praying that my copy comes on the 12th and not on the 14th :(

You are lucky, DA: O was released not long ago here. I'll probably have towait for at least another year until i can purchase DA 2 in a store.
Luckily i can ask my parents to send me a copy of the eu version

I went to the midnight launch with Bioware in Edmonton, but i haven't played it yet, gotta go to work, going to be a long day.

I know that at least Kevin Van Ord from Gamespot said on his Twitter that his review would be up sometime this morning. I would have assumed that meant midnight PST but we might have to wait till someone gets in the office. Same with IGN.

I dunno. My copy will probably get here today, sometime in the afternoon. Everything I've seen of it suggests at the very least the combat will be comparable to Origins. 

My cope of DA2 is in the mail, the wait is killing me.

How about this, the game comes out in two days here in Sweden and I've pre-ordered it BUT a WEEK of exams is starting in school so that means I have to study so I'll be playing DA2 on Wednesday next week, now that sucks

I've been playing it for 6hours or maybe more. Last night as soon as I could play the "Steam" version I started playing it(from 2AM to 6AM) so yeah I can't put it down, only reason I stopped playing was cause I didn't want to wake up to late today, wanted to have more off the day to play the game. So yeah it's an awesome game IMO. Now back to more DA2 :D.

If you have the steam version this worked for me.

still early on but I like it.

Excellent!! Midnight launch been playing since 1am....just took a break to cancel school and work for the day.

My copy is on the back of a FedEx truck, but I have a three hour class tonight. It's going to be an awfully long class.

How about you read some of the reviews that already came out?

I just got my copy in the mail.  It sits up opened as I am too busy playing Rift to care.

so OP, the game is getting some damn positive reviews all above 9 so far except for game informers 83. And not that these numbers actually mean anything, the content of the reviews I have read speak incredibly positive about the game going as far as to say one of the finest rpgs in recent years, but the game informer review does sort of indicate that Die-hard CRPG guys will probably disagree with that and although the game is still great, it may dissapoint those people a little

I'd tell you if my Direct2Drive copy of the game didn't say there is no CD in the drive, and then proceed to hang and literally not be closed for 15 minutes (Close window, end process/tree nothing is closing this fucking window)

I have only been able to play one hour of it, and most of that was from the demo.
 
Looks good, but some performance issue, unsure if it is my own fault.

I kind of disagree with these statements. DA2 only looks better to me in areas. The combat in Origins was "frenetic" too and the auto attack wasn't needed then.  Constant button pressing never made me feel like i was in the thick of it, the need to employ strategy did. So they found the auto attack? "

Considering that it's a 100 hour or more game, i would be hard for anyone to give their final judgment in just 12 hours.

its pretty boring, when dragon age origins first came out, i stayed up like til 4 AM playing it so much
 
this game i started at like 6pm, got bored around 11 pm or so, went to bed
 
its just not the same level of quality
