Someone please tell me if Dragon age 2 is good ??
I have to wait 3 more fucking days I'm literally dying here :<
Dragon Age II
Game » consists of 16 releases. Released Mar 08, 2011
This sequel to Dragon Age: Origins features faster combat, a new art style, and a brand new, fully voiced main character named Hawke.
ARGHH I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE !111
They're obviously too busy playing it, so that's a tell in its' own.
Besides it's morning there. Most haven't woken up from playing all night. :P
" Has no one played it yet ? Didn't it come out the other day in America ? "It came out today in America I believe.
I'm from UK, waiting for my signature edition for 3 more days.
OP, have patience, go out, smell the air, look at the beauty that is nature or just do anything that keeps your mind off it and go on a complete gaming binge on Friday.
I have to wait too, release day is thursday here. But I am convinced that DA2 is a good game, I played the demo.
Playing it now, I'm finding it hard to stop. The amount of side content is pretty staggering, and the quests are much better crafted. Loving the dialogue too; it's legitimately funny.
I'd hate to give advice having only played 8 hours of it so far.. but it seems very easy to recommend the game.
What's up with the lack of reviews except for PC Gamer? I was expecting more for sure on release day.
" What's up with the lack of reviews except for PC Gamer? I was expecting more for sure on release day. "I guess reviewers are still playing the game. But there are more reviews out than pc gamer. Just check metacritic.
It's about 8am here in America (I'm in the Midwest, so add or subtract an hour or two for either coast). Give the rest of my country time to wake up to bitch or brag. We need our sleep.

Can't speak for the rest, but probably the usual embargos and score tampering/restrictions that are for some reason acceptable in this industry.
I'll be picking my copy up in about an hour, but then I have to go take a test in my programming class :(
I cant wait, but I think its gonna take like 30 minutes to download all of the extra stuff I have which is everything except the Gamestop amulet and the Razer ring, on my registered content page on bioware social, the list is about 10 items and then add all the stuff that comes with the sig. edition and wow EA certainly love there promo items dont they?

I played the demo on the PC (and didn't like it), is it similar to that? Thanks.
I know that at least Kevin Van Ord from Gamespot said on his Twitter that his review would be up sometime this morning. I would have assumed that meant midnight PST but we might have to wait till someone gets in the office. Same with IGN.
I dunno. My copy will probably get here today, sometime in the afternoon. Everything I've seen of it suggests at the very least the combat will be comparable to Origins.
Escapist review is entertaining (360 version btw):
"A pinnacle of role-playing games"
"Not only does Dragon Age II play better, it looks absolutely gorgeous."
"The party-based combat is frenetic, with no auto-attack making you feel in the thick of it with constant button-pressing. (If the no auto-attack annoys you, it's possible to turn this feature back on in the options.)"
You can feel how profesional it is, especially from the last line quoted. Heh.
If you disliked how combat was in the demo then I doubt the full game'd endear itself to you. If what you disliked was the narrative style I assure you the game's pacing is much more measured than what the demo suggests. Barely a year of in-game time has passed in DA2 (the Warden defeated the Archdemon not too long ago) and I've spent 8 hours playing it.
I don't think the game's dumbed down for a wider audience; you still need a firm grasp of tanking, threat management, CC, talent synergies, min-maxing, etc if you want to mow down some fools. I'd still recommend experienced players go on hard difficulty; normal doesn't seem challenging.
Oh and I'm not going to lie though; it took me a while to get used to how combat looks. I still occasionally forget that I don't have to keep clicking to attack, a la Diablo :(
I've been playing it for 6hours or maybe more. Last night as soon as I could play the "Steam" version I started playing it(from 2AM to 6AM) so yeah I can't put it down, only reason I stopped playing was cause I didn't want to wake up to late today, wanted to have more off the day to play the game. So yeah it's an awesome game IMO. Now back to more DA2 :D.
my copy is sitting, unopened, on my desk. 6 more hours of classes and work, then dragon age goodness
" I am playing the ok facebook game DA:Legends right now, unlocked a ring and a belt for the game so far, still another 3 things to unlock by thursday! "I was in the beta for that Facebook game and all I can say is that it's horrible.
They can keep their unlocks.
I think the fact you wrote the title of the thread in capital letters and then added three ones in the end is great.
How about you read some of the reviews that already came out?
" Escapist review is entertaining (360 version btw):I kind of disagree with these statements. DA2 only looks better to me in areas. The combat in Origins was "frenetic" too and the auto attack wasn't needed then. Constant button pressing never made me feel like i was in the thick of it, the need to employ strategy did. So they found the auto attack?

so OP, the game is getting some damn positive reviews all above 9 so far except for game informers 83. And not that these numbers actually mean anything, the content of the reviews I have read speak incredibly positive about the game going as far as to say one of the finest rpgs in recent years, but the game informer review does sort of indicate that Die-hard CRPG guys will probably disagree with that and although the game is still great, it may dissapoint those people a little
Its a really well done game, looks very good , plays good and the story is kickass. Its really awesome.
" I AM INSTALLING THIS GAME AS I TYPE THIS JESUS CHRIST MY BONER IS RIPPING INTO MY DENIM JEANS "I too have a chubby from thinking about this.

That is why I cited 3 completely ridiculous statemets from the 5/5 review.
Considering that it's a 100 hour or more game, i would be hard for anyone to give their final judgment in just 12 hours.
"smell the air"This genuinely made me lol :)
My parents live in the country, so sometimes I'll have a hot shower in the evening and open the window after to get a really cold, fresh breeze...
Totally fucking OT, apologies...
