I've just started the game, I heard somewhere that the ridiculous breasts are explained as an exaggeration by the storyteller. Can someone elaborate on this? Will they then be reset to less obnoxious levels? 
 
I mean, it's not like there haven't been gigantic racks in gaming before. But at these levels, it's usually as part of a joke, or wild fanservice. But here they're pretending like this isn't a joke, as if it was normal?  It's akin to talking about the weather with waves of gore washed over you and someone else's blood dripping down your underwear, and pretending like you don't notice.

I guess it could be Varric making their breasts bigger, but I never really noticed the game pointing that out. I think Bethany has the best breasts, or maybe it's just the robe.

Varric exaggerates Bethany's breasts during the very first part of the game before Cassandra calls him on his bullshit. Then they shrink in size and the boobs remain as big as they were in Origins, except for Isabela but she is just a walking sexual fantasy anyway.
