All the DA2 haters need to piss off.Agreed .... it was a fine game and I'm eager to play the third when it comes out , whenever that is , can be a month , a year or whatever. Screw you haters.

Guys, You Might Wanna Sit Down: Dragon Age 3 Exists
If 3 crosses DA1 and DA2 characters together it will still be the most epic fantasy ride in gaming history.
Really interested to see what they do with it after the criticism, no interest at all (currently) in actually playing this after seeing what they did with 2.
Make DA3 a game that even those not crazy for DA can love and you've got yourself a deal.Isn't that what they tried in DA2? They tried to make it more mainstream and it blew up in their faces. I still liked it despite its flaws just like I liked Alpha Protocol despite its flaws, but a lot of people seem to hate it so I think they are going to have to go back and make DA3 for the hardcore fans since the hardcore fans where so pissed at DA2.
Well that was pretty obvious. I enjoyed the DA2, faults and all. Hope they can strike a better balance with the formula this time. I liked the ideas they had for changing up DA, but some of it looked liked it could have used a little more time to work on.
Ugh...
Let me guess, this time you'll tap TWO buttons for the majority of the game?!
I LOVED Origins but 2 was just so average. It had some good parts but when you compare it to something like The Witcher 2 it looks like a joke.

How were 2's sales? After its lukewarm reception (well, among the fanbase), I thought this may have been a while off.
@Aetheldod said:I'm not saying the game didn't have problems, but I don't think it deserves the beating it's getting. Yes, they recycled a bunch of locations, but there are also many improvements over Origins that most people tend to gloss over. It's perfectly fine if you were disappointed (I was a bit myself) but DA2 is still a really good game that expanded the word and mythos of the DA universe in a meaningful way (even if the ending was a cop out).@Enigma777 said:All the DA2 haters need to piss off.Agreed .... it was a fine game and I'm eager to play the third when it comes out , whenever that is , can be a month , a year or whatever. Screw you haters.HEY MAYBE YOU GUYS ENJOYED RIFLING THROUGH CHESTS FILLED WITH MOTHEATEN TROUSERS AND GETTING SENT TO DARKTOWN FOR THE NINTEENTH TIME AND HAVING ANDERS CLIMBING ON YOUR BALLSACK LIKE IT WAS A FUCKING BEANBAG CHAIR BUT THIS AINT JUST SOME RANDOM BACKLASH. DA2 WAS A SERIOUS FUCKING DISAPPOINTMENT FOR A LOT OF FANS OF DAO MYSELF INCLUDED

Am I the only one who thinks the biggest piece of news here is that the Senior Director of Creative Development for Dragon Age is name Alistair?
@Enigma777 said:I think the talking protagonist was a good improvement over DA1 and they did significantly improve the graphics of the console versions. DA1 looks pretty good on PC but horrible on 360 (yes I have both versions). I also think that the combat is better at least on console since the gamepad is not good for the sort of pause and issue order tactics of DA1 but more for the on the fly tactics in DA2, except for the number of enemies that is, There was way too many generic low level enemies. They could have had fewer enemies and have every enemy mean something rather than storming you. I like the more fluent action like combat compared to the stilted combat in DA1.All the DA2 haters need to piss off.Hm I don't think it's a bad game, but I just don't like a single aspect of the game they changed to make it more accessible. Sorry. :)
If they're already hiring for DA3, then it smells like another rush job to me. I mean DA2 came out just 2 months ago? After DA2's mediocrity, I'm concerned for ME3 now (even though it was thankfully delayed). I'll be approaching any Bioware releases with caution now after my disappointment with DA2. Ugh, just seeing that picture of Hawke makes me want to punch him in the face.
Bioware seems to have taken the criticisms of DA2 to heart. At least, I hope they have. They got pretty thoroughly trashed on the reused dungeons and softening of the RPG elements. I expect the next game will be somewhere in-between Dragon Age: Origins and DA2. Whether they'll actually meet my expectations, though, is up in the air. I hope they realize that many of us would hold off making a decision about buying the game until they reassure us that some of these gameplay issues have been fixed.
I enjoyed DA 2 quite a bit while I played it but I'm definitely very, very, very happy that The Witcher 2 is a fantastic RPG that fills in the hole in my heart where my disapointment for DA 2 basically being stuck between RPG and third-person action game, it was an RPAG (Role-playing action game).
I wanted a pure RPG experience and found myself feeling disapointed, so in this way, Bioware please give DA 3 two and a half years of production time, minumum. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
Get rid of Hawke. Get rid of Kirkwall. Just take us to a different country with the same overworld map. And for the love of god give console owners an auto attack.
I'm always up for more Bioware-style RPGs. Just hoping they're finally gonna start building more 'organic' and less 'modular' feeling worlds.
Really hope EA starts building all games with Frostbite 2 and keeps on investing in R&D into their own engine - and for better and more efficient procedural production of top quality assets.
Maybe they'll really be able to churn out a Dragon Age each year and still deliver an appropriate quantitiy and quality of assets.
Guess this means there is no DA2 expansion? If so than yeah, DA2 was very disappointing. Here is hoping that they take more time to polish the game, add more lore, and make for a grander adventure. I don't want DA3 to come out until 2014.
