I've gotten to the part where you have to choose to either kill the kid/demon, let the mother sacrifice herself, or go seek help from the mages at the Circle of Magi. I chose the last option, because it's the only one that doesn't seem to involve someone dying. However, they sort of hint that something could happen while you are gone, and now, because Redcliffe is the very first quest I've taken on in the first "act" of the game, when I reach the Tower of Magi, I can't get their help until I complete the main quest there, which I assume is going to take a very long time. In the mean time, possessed demon kid is back at Redcliffe wreaking havok, supposedly. 
 
So my question: will it matter that I'm gone for probably weeks, or at least days, of game time, without finishing that part of the Redcliffe quest, or am I better off loading up an earlier save and choosing one of the other two options?
