So for the first time since 2006 (that's NINE FREAKING YEARS), Square has decided to showcase what it's got on a stage at E3. I suppose they wouldn't do so unless they had something to show off. The conference is set for June 16th 9AM PST / 12 PM EST.

I'm looking forward to KH3, FF XV, and please TWEWY 2. (Also maybe Bravely Second will be there?). There's also quite a few Western games I hear people are excited about.

It will be one to remember...

Man, first Bethesda, now Square. Sounds like it could be a busy E3.

Square's Japanese lineup has never really appealed to me, but I'm looking forward to seeing Deus Ex and Tomb Raider. Hopefully they'll also have some niche titles in the same vein as Life is Strange to show off.

They've definitely got the lineup to support it. Hopefully there isn't too much of SE's special brand of bullshit.

Don't forget the token FF7 re-release. But seriously I'm actually looking forward to it, something I never thought possible.

They'll promote Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward there as well since it pre-launches the Friday after.

I wonder what Nintendo is going to do. That's their timeslot. They always did their press conference then, and since they killed off their press conference they've done the Nintendo Direct in that timeslot. Square doing a conference then is a significant clash.

I think that there is not going to be Digital event this year and they'll just use the Treehouse live as some kind of Tradeshow presentation for 3 days, revealing their secret not playable at the showfloor games at the end of each day. I don't see them going early in the morning or after square (show floor opens after that slot) and going head to head would be stupid since the Square games definitely have much bigger profile and all the media would rather cover them on a live press conference than Nintendo's pre-recorded youtube video. Or they could just go to the apple event and present mobile games and get more coverage than anyone, who knows?

Really looking forward to hearing more about DX: MD and RotTR.

I believe he kickstarted a FFT style game last year, don't recall when he left SE.

You forgot about hitman and deus ex. I really hope hitman is more blood money and less absolution. Man was absolution garbage.

I like their current lineup. A new Final Fantasy Tactis on the 3DS would be a cool surprise.
