    Throughout most of the story of Final Fantasy XIV, Solus zos Galvus the pseudonym of Emet Selch have been referenced in passing by various NPCs and story character, typically people from Garlemald. In truth, he is an immortal Ascian, which has allowed him to experience countless rise and falls of various empires and nations throughout the Source's history.
