    Here it is

I've always wanted the original but nobody stocked it here for the past year. This one's going to have more involving gameplay mechanics so, I can't wait to dive in. And no, they won't show you all the most impressive shit in the trailer, why not discover it yourself?

Wow that looks really nice. can't wait to get my hands on that one.

I wonder if Haily Westerna (i'm not sure if this is the correct name) will be contributing to the soundtrack once again, i loved her work in the first one.

What I have seen of the first game was more impressive than that vid. Not a particularly good trailer, that. : /

@Meowayne: I'll have to agree with you, it are the screenshots that pique my interest mostly.

Yeah, the trailer is "meh" at best. I never got around to play the first one but if this is budget priced upon release, I may check it out.

Moar. And while the trailer doesn't show any of the other gameplay mechanics, hell, swimming around purdy stuff is the main reason one would get this imo... Trailer does its job of showing purdy things, game does its job of keeping it engaging after the simply swimming novelty wears off.

Looks pretty cool. Way better graphics too.

I liked the first one a lot. But their character models were so bad they were funny lol.

what kind of fish do you see? Can you go down to like the super deep levels of the ocean and see all those freaky fish? That would be amazing :o

It's not boring, it's just not an action game. I guess most people would rather have a gun and shoot everything while SHARKS SHOOT LASERS instead. Gameplay revolves around doing tours, locating certain species, finding stuff, upgrading your reefs to attract more species, things like that. With a lot of stuff to do on the side, like befriending and training dolphins to do tricks, upgrading your scuba gear, finding ruins, etc. The original had an abyss level with some creepy stuff. You could also dive with a friend online. Who knows what you can do in this sequel.

    Hands-on from IGN:
    - Wii Speak support for online diving
    - you can dive in rivers
    - "dangerous" situations can now occur underwater
    - you can hold on to your dolphin for fast swimming
    - search for treasure with sonar tool
    - improved graphics overall
    - bigger underwater world to explore

The 1UP article a few posts behind did have some good details:
"The big thing about Endless Ocean 2 is that now you can travel around the world, instead of just swimming around a single, fictional body of water. You can instantly warp between a number of regions, including South America and even Antarctica. Endless Ocean 2 also includes new tools, such as the "PULSAR," an underwater tranquilizer that calms more ferocious sea creatures. I didn't find a use for it in the playable demo, but I'm guessing you might have to use it to subdue some larger creatures hidden in the depths."

"What's our take? It's an obvious thing to mention, but the variety of real-world locations makes Endless Ocean 2 more believable, and it's even more enjoyable to explore the various lakes, oceans, rivers, atolls, and more bodies of water around the world. It helps improve the overall look of the game, too -- a murky South American river looks murky, and the tropical coastlines are bright blue and filled with colorful plants and fish. And for what it's worth, the character models look more detailed, too."

    I can't wait.

Yes you can, that's actually one of the most breathtaking things about the game, I remember the first time I found a Giant Squid...simply amazing.

This is the best improvement imo, one of the things the first lacked was the feeling of danger when you swimmed next to sharks or some other creatures because you knew nothing would happen.

    Also, rivers...yay!

The character models might have possibly been improved going by these, I hope that's true, as that was of the weaker aspects of the original. I also hope the main quest is longer. Or perhaps it has no main quest at all, just a bunch of different mysteries. And it needs more shipwrecks and ruins and such. I wonder how the map works now that you aren't restricted to a fictional area... Cleaner visuals would be welcome too, as nice as the first looks at times.
