hi can anyone help. i want to get to the whitehouse so it shows up on my map properly but i cant get there. i can see it but there is a fence and if i get close to the fence i get alot of rads.
if you fast travel Penn. Ave Northwest there is a sewer cover across the street from where you arrive. Go down that and you'll be able to get to the White House. There isn't much there though. And bring a radiation suit.
i wonder why they decided to just make it a hole in the ground? i mean thats the most iconic building in all of Washington DC! I hope its not a case of being to afraid of catching some bad media attention on FOX News. i mean you already have all of DC destroyed! why not go all the way?

It's pretty obvious, isn't it? In the Fallout universe, the Soviets aimed a nuke directly on the White House. There's nothing left.
I remember how shocked I was when I came out of that subway. I just happened upon the wreckage, and I saw the mangled fence in the distance. I don't think the idea of a nuclear holocaust was ever as tangible to me as it was in that moment. Uncanny.

In the Fallout universe it was the Chinese VS the US. but im sure Russia played a hand in the whole end of the world thing =)
You have to use the subway. Follow the link to the wiki above. The location on the map is just a heavily radiated crater but does have a few mini nukes in it so it is worth going.
