Anyone else playing this right now? Started last night, 4 hour chunk. I got murdered over and over going it solo.... groups of wandering enemies will come after you. Found teaming up actually useful for survival... and experienced no griefing so far, amazingly.

Fallout 76 Beta
I keep waiting for GB coverage on this but it looks like the wait will continue. I played with someone during the first chunk of time and really enjoyed what I got to see. The overall ambiance of the music and picking up flowers had it feeling more like an Elder Scrolls game until I was being attacked by giant tick or mutant. I touched on the base building a bit but only managed to get the most basic of homes built within the last few minutes. I thought I was walking into a more Rust like game but it ended up feeling much more relaxed.
^ Definitely. I enjoyed it way more than I expected. I anticipated just getting griefed beyond belief but that did not happen at all. People were actually cool to each other, and cooperated to stop the groups of baddies that came at everyone endlessly.
I watched a fair chunk of Gamespot's coverage, and while the game doesn't look out and out bad, it lacks a lot of personality, even moreso than Fallout 4 did. A large part of that is the lack of NPCs, which leaves the world feeling almost trivial, and that's always been the best part of Fallout. I don't know, it's not for me, but then again, I found myself liking ESO quite a bit more than I expected, so maybe I'll give this a shot when it drops in price.
I'll be playing when the PC 'beta' hits next week. Overall I'm pretty confident that I will enjoy it from what I've seen so far. I think the environments look really nice and that their changes to the perk system are smart. I'm also very interested in how they support it long term. It sounds like the newish BGS Austin studio is going to be dedicated to it. I definitely see it as something I will put a lot of time into.
Yeah I was hoping for a GB Quick Look of Unfinished for it, maybe that will happen soon too. The Beta this weekend is for 2 hours both on Saturday 5-7 eastern, & Sunday 12-2 eastern, PM both.
Well I finally had the chance to catch one of the 'beta' sessions. Played for the two hours it was up and had a good time. Fell back into the familiar Bethesda routine of just exploring and grabbing junk. I've only been able to play one hour before this but in my three hours so far I've still not ran into another player. I left the starting area and immediately went in the opposite direction of the tutorial quests so that might have something to do with it, but it really does seem like you can spend a decent stretch of time without seeing people. The music is great and the quests I have found so far seem pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to playing more on Thursday.
@paulmako: A head s up man. Your stash box has limited capacity. 400 items or pounds. It can be a real pain to lose items
There is Power armor in the Prison Northeast of Vault 76. Go around the building and enter through a hole in the wall. You'll be in the prison yard. A lot of Super Mutants. The armor is in one of the buildings there. Just beware one of the buildings is booby trapped with grenades.
