Looks exactly like Fallout 3. I hope they tweak the pip-boy model.

First Gameplay Footage
Who fucking cares if it looks exactly like Fallout 3? That's all that I want from a new Fallout game, and the fact that they have improved the gameplay significantly only makes it sweeter.
NICE. Can't wait. More fallout is always fun. Jesus Brudvig talks so quickly. Guess they had to squeeze it in <1min.
I wish there was some actual Vegas roaming and not just desert, but they're probably saving that footage for E3.
If the improvements are any good, I'll probably pick it up. I still have to play through the DLC after Operation Anchorage. My PC took a shit right before The Pitt came out and I haven't been able to jump back on board yet.
Although I'm glad it looks exactly like Fallout 3, I'm also kind of bummed out that it looks exactly like Fallout 3. I'm still very excited regardless, but a little variety wouldn't hurt. But I suppose if it isn't broken, don't fix it.
...the way it looks, I mean. Fallout 3 was a whole mess when it came to performance.
Looks exactly as I imagined it was going to -- Fallout 3: Now In Vegas. I couldn't be happier nor less surprised.
If I still have to vats my way through the game I'll probably not play it.
Also that zoom to face conversation thing is still in there. I never liked that in Fallout 3 or Oblivion.
" If I still have to vats my way through the game I'll probably not play it. Also that zoom to face conversation thing is still in there. I never liked that in Fallout 3 or Oblivion. "It doesn't really zoom right into their face like Oblivion. Just a little bit.
While I'd be lying if I said I weren't at least a little disappointed that it looks exactly the same, I am still very much excited to play it. Although, I did notice a few small visual tweeks that, I think, I approve of. The field of view seems to be a little further expanded than it was in Fallout 3, allowing more on screen. The environment also looks a bit cleaner, not as repetitive as it was, though still generally boring looking. Then again the environment is not what keeps that game exciting, and nor are the graphics; honestly, what kept the game interesting were all the amazing characters to talk to and interact with, and having a entire new game's-worth of those is exactly what I(we?) wanted.

" Looks like Fallout 3 with more guns. Which is a bad thing. "Is it though? Fallout 3 is a great game.
" I can't wait! I wonder if you can carry over mods from Fallout 3 "I doubt it, since it's not being developed by Bethesda and there surely are some different gameplay elements in place that would prevent such a thing from happening.

I do think that all the little things they've done, like making a party possibly viable, regional reputation, hardcore mode etc add up to something significant. Also, the writing will be awesome because it's Avellone.
But yeah. Those sure are some orange rocks. And no sand.
Bethesda better have Carmack working on tech for Elder Scrolls VI is all I'm saying.
The thing is, I could play some more Fallout 3. I didn't play it as obsessively as some others did, so I'm not really burnt out on it.
I can't wait for this game. Yea it is just like Fallout 3 but is that a bad thing. It has some improvements and a new story so what isn't to like?
" I can't wait for this game. Yea it is just like Fallout 3 but is that a bad thing. It has some improvements and a new story so what isn't to like? "Some parts shown in the video looked half finished.
I predict that this will have more bugs and glitches then Fallout 3.
I guessing (read hoping) that as the Nuclear war wasn't supposed to have hit the west coast so hard and that there should be lots of quite interesting buildings standing whole in New Vegas that there is going to be something good to look at. I just hope that they don't rely too much on the fact that the majority of Fallout fans dig the gameplay more than the look to cheap out on the visuals.
