    Fallout: New Vegas

Game » consists of 25 releases. Released Oct 19, 2010

The post-apocalyptic Fallout universe expands into Nevada in this new title in the franchise. As a courier once left for dead by a mysterious man in a striped suit, the player must now set out to find their assailant and uncover the secrets of the enigmatic ruler of New Vegas.

I have $60 to spend on either Fallout new vegas or starcraft 2.

The title pretty much explains my dilemma. I loved fallout 3, but also loved starcraft. Starcraft 2 has goot great reviews (unsuprisingly) and fallout new vegas will likely have similarly high scores. RTS and RPGs are my two favourite genres. I will end up getting both, just one will have to wait till christmas. Which should I get? Thanks for your help.

Starcraft 2, just pick up Fallout 3 GOTY or the regular edition for cheap.

I would say Starcraft 2. I have very little faith in Obsidian Games.

i have fallout 3. Honestly though, i'm kinda leaning toward new vegas. I like the new gameplay mechanics like iron sights. I'd have to wait till october though.

If you wait, you're just going to be sitting on that money for two months, playing nothing. But it sounds like you've made up your mind already.

Personally I would go for Fallout. Mainly becasue I loved 3 and haven't played it in a long time so I'm intrigued of another game that's seems to be roughly the same feeling. Obsidian Games are developing it though, so I am slightly caution. I'm just not really into Starcraft or many old school RTS's (I'm more of a Civilization-type gamer), but if you dig that type of game, then starcraft is probably will last you longer. Eventually, you probably should just get both!

haha, no. In my mind it's one sided dude; Blizzard makes super polished games, Obsidian (more recently) makes competent games.  That's all I'll say, gotta go to work weeeeeeee!

SC2 has already been released and has universally positive reviews. NV hasn't been released yet, but Obsidian's previous game(s) didn't do too well. If you're going to wait for one of them, then wait for reviews to come out for NV and then see if you still really want it.

I would say, if you're looking for a multiplayer pvp focused experience, Starcraft 2 is the way to go.  The single player is lengthy and was a good experience, but I don't have much reason to go back to Starcraft now that I'm done with it.

Of course, I can say even less about Fallout, but if you've played Fallout 3 you know what you're getting.  Obsidian has a good pedigree at making sequels and I loved Alpha Protocol despite its flaws.

KOTOR2. Also NWN2 was buggy as crap when it first came out.

StarCraft if you're into online play, and Fallout if you're more into singleplayer.

As much as it pains me to say this...
StarCraft II. I have complete confidence in Obsidian and I know that Fallout: New Vegas will be great, but you will get a ton out of SCII. And that game is the sauce.

You understand Fallout New Vegas will be $50. Don't let how Activision and Ubisoft raised their prices fool you. They're the only 2 companies that will stick to this model while everyone else will sell their games at the proper price without any complaints.

Buy a game that is already out and renowned as one of the most successful titles this year or wait two months for a game that could be really good or really bad...

If you wait two months for Fallout New Vegas and it sucks balls you lost two valuable months you could be kicking ass on SC2.

Hmmm, I would say get Fallout NV over Starcraft.  But as mentioned already, Fallout's not out for a while yet, so if you want something now - it's Starcraft.
