I'm getting both Fallout New Vegas and Fable 3. My rational side sez to play Fable first since it'll likely not last as long as Fallout. My problem is that theres no freaking way I can force myself NOT to play teh Fallouts as it sits on my desk mocking me for a week. I'm to weak.

Play New Vegas when it comes out. When Fable 3 comes out, play that. After you've finished Fable 3, go start over in New Vegas.

This is a personal thing, but since you seem to be anticipating Fallout: New Vegas more (as I am), I would say play that. I think to enjoy life while you have it -- as long as you judge the moment's action to be worth whatever potential compromise it may have on your future. For me, buying games at launch is significant ($). Personally, Fallout: New Vegas looks to be on the short list of my favorite games of all time. Between its October 19 launch, and the November 2 launch of Gran Turismo 5 (another gem I am sure to love paying $60 for and playing for obscene amounts of time), I'll be satiated for a while.

Play Fallout, save your money on Fable 3 until you have the time to play it.

If you buying both on Release day then just play Fallout then Fable when that comes out.

But I'll warn you, once you start playing Fallout you'll probably get addicted to it. It happened with me and Fallout 3 and before I knew it I'd lost a week of my life to the damn thing. That week I'll never get back :,(

There's no way that's going to be true, dude.

Anyway, dude... why not play both? You've never played through two games at a time before?

Yeah, play both and alternate. It's not a big deal.
