So the original Fallout and Fallout 2 are currently on sale for 50% off at GOG.com (http://www.gog.com/en/page/xmas11) and I'm wondering if I should buy them now for $3 or wait and see if they go cheaper on Steam? I've never really payed attention to see if these went on Steam sale or not

Are you into RPGs? If you are, you definitely should. The NPC writing is still great and the mechanics remain engaging.

Fallout and Fallout 2 remain as some of my favourite games. If you like the Fallout universe, then you will no doubt enjoy the two starting games of the series. Plus $3 is an absolute steal!

Certainly. I'm not really a big fan of Fallout 2 for a myriad of reasons, mostly relating to the pacing and the overuse of nerd culture references. But the first game is great.

Yeah, because $3 isn't cheap enough. Do you really think they will be that much cheaper on Steam? GOG also gives you the soundtracks to both games (and Tactics if you buy that), AND they are DRM-free. Come on, it's an obvious choice.

From purely practical purposes. Fallout 1 & 2 are also on Steam sale atm with 50% off and they are still 5$
