If you could make FFXIII PS3 exclusive would you?
You've got to be utterly sad as fuck to say yes. Although I couldn't care less, I've got about as much interest in playing a JRPG as I have throwing myself off the top of a bridge.
I see no reason to, the amount of players who would only get a chance to play it if it was on 360 is extremely high so since they can make it for 360 (and its profitable) I see no reason to deny them the chance to play what is hopefully an amazing game. It seems a bit selfish to only want it on your system for the most part, while games like Uncharted 2 look awesome on PS3 its not as if MW2 or GTA4 look ugly in comparison.
Why make it an exclusive? Unless you're a PS3 fanboy I see no reason why you should let alone think about it.
" I honestly don't know what the benefit of that would be. Anyone? "Exclusivity has its benefits. Instead of making a game that meets the standard requirements for 2+ systems, you can concentrate on the sole power of the one system you are designing for. Look at Uncharted 1 and 2 and Killzone2. I honestly don't think that Xbox could have pulled off those amazing graphics.
Also, when you're going exclusive, you have more freedom about what the game overall. The publishers (Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo) usually let the developers do their own thing and just handle the marketing and such. Now you only have 2 parties involved as opposed to 3 which means more paperwork!
Yup cause that would give the PS3 a huge ass exclusive, and it's not like FF13 would flop. That's from a business standpoint, but making it exclusive would suck for a lot of people, so no.
If making it a timed exclusive allowed it to be released earlier then that would be fine by me. Otherwise, there's not much of a point to wanting it on one less platform. That is assuming there were no sacrifices made like supposedly the Japanese language track, though that ultimately seems minor and would only be prevented by their laziness or some contract of content equality.
it is exclusive in japan and I think asia
but honestly I stopped caring about FF13 like two years ago it's been in development for forever
I play my Xbox 360 for Xbox 360 games, and my PS3 for PS3 games.
What if we said "If you could make Halo: Reach come to the PS3, would you?" I'm sure we wouldn't get alot of "we want more poeple to experience the game comments," we would get "PS3 iz t3h GeYZer 5izTUM ManZZ!!! Halo iz t3h PwNZoRRSz!!!11!one11/"
I rest my case.
"Oh no we have to stop him! He's going to kill us all, use the secret power of-" PLEASE INSERT DISC 6
Keep in mind if you say yes, you'd be paying twice the price because it'll no longer be on two consoles anymore. Square-Enix would have to make up the lost revenue somehow...
" Hey I just wanted to smoke the Sony fanboys out, but it seems like they are to scared to say so in a post so I just made this poll to see how many would vote "Yes" "Really doesn't make sense since the FF series was first on Nintendo platforms. If you wanted to take the faboys out, you should go after Uncharted or Ratchet and Clank or something exclusive. Metal Gear is also out since it was on Nintendo also, even ported to the Xbox and GC
