Thanks to Emiliam from reddit. Mostly this covers things that will be added to the game in 2.3, which goes live in the beginning of July.

    Official Q&A:

    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/173393-Letter-from-the-Producer-LIVE-Part-XV-Q-A-Updates[1]

I'll probably end up overlapping some information already revealed above. This time around there aren't all that much info that was left undocumented from the official Q&A.

It's been said already, but the release of 2.3 is currently scheduled for July 8th.

    Frontline-related

    • Maximum number of participants will be 3 teams of 24 players (24 vs 24 vs 24) for total of 72 players.

    • If DF matching process takes too long, system will automatically attempt to match 16 vs 16 vs 16 or 8 vs 8 vs 8 instead.

    • Lv50 required for participation. Item levels may be synced instead (e.g. ilvl 80/90 Frontlines) but the exact level has not yet been decided.

    • Battle will take place at the Carteneau Flats, the location of the final battle in 1.0. Each team will start at their outpost/HQ, which will serve as a staging area as well as respawn point.

    • You may switch jobs freely at your team's staging area (there is also no role restrictions when queuing for Frontline).

    • PvP skills may be used.

    • You are required to jump off a platform from your staging area to enter the battlefield, so once you're in, you cannot return to the staging area until you are defeated and respawn.

    • Battle time is limited to 30 minutes.

    • Basic rule is "Capture the Flag". Alliances earn points for defeating enemies but more point is earned for capturing the 6 flags/outposts that exist in the battlefield.

    • As mentioned earlier, if you are defeated in battle, you will respawn at your alliance's home outpost/HQ.

    • You may ride your mounts in the battlefield.

    • Rewards come in the form of PvP points (same as Wolve's Den), unique mounts (such as a War Horse), as well as Soldiery Tomestones.

    • The Morale stat will have no effect in Frontline.

    • There will be monsters in the battlefield, which may affect the flow of battle.

    Crystal Tower-related

    • Named "Syrcus Tower" (at least in Japanese).

    • Cannot yet enter with pre-made alliances but is planned for 2.35.

    • Reward drops will be ilvl100 Armor. No weapons or accessories. Weekly loot lockout system similar to the first Crystal Tower.

    • Additional possible drops of Unidentified Allagan Tomestone, Sand/Oil of Time to be added in subsequent patches. For 2.3 launch, only Unidentified Allagan Tomestones will drop. The drop rate will be about 30%. Exact plans/timelines for this in the future will depend on player progression in Second Coil.

    • Everyone will progress up the tower together as a large group. There will be no splitting paths this time (such as the Atomos fight in first CT).

    • Introduction of new character(s) planned.

    • Ilvl requirement not yet finalized.

    FC content-related

    • Personal Room price is set at 300,000 gil.

    • A door will be added to the first floor of all FC housings. You will enter your personal room through this door.

    • The size of the room will be slightly larger than the first floor of an S-sized house ("imagine one of the walls pushed back/extended by one 'segment' of wall between pillars"). It will have windows. Please do not mind how this defies the laws of physics for those with S-sized houses.

    • You may place your own furniture (but not garden) items in your room. The limit is not shared with the FC housing or other people's rooms.

    • No new FC rank at the moment, but there are plans to introduce something that FCs can work towards to gain new ranks in the future.

    • You can't leave your FC without removing your room first. In the future, you will be able to "automatically" remove your room upon leaving a FC if you wish. You can't carry over your room as-is to another FC.

    Chocobo-related

    • You will be able to add a chocobo stable (as a garden furniture item) to your housing, where you can train and care for your chocobo.

    • At this point, this feature is only available to those who have access to housing (FC housing), but it is planned to become accessible through chocobo porters in the future.

    • For now, only 1 chocobo (your buddy) can be trained at a time (per player?). This may increase in the future when contents like the Golden-something and the something-race is implemented.

    • It is possible to break through the Rank 10 limit to reach 11 and beyond. You may eventually be able to have a "super" chocobo with all skills learned.

    • You will be able to reset (respec) your chocobo's skills in 2.3. Will not require housing/stable for this.

    • Chocobo won't be "dyed" (since it's kind of animal abuse to dump a bucket of dye on them) but will "grow" new colored feathers instead. This will not be ready for 2.3 and is planned for 2.35. The colors will not have any direct effect on the chocobo's abilities. The selection of colors should be on par with the existing number of dyes out there right now.

    Beastman Tribe-related

    • Ixali questline will be introduced in 2.35. This will be the last "beastman" tribe daily quest series.

    • Will involve crafting and uses unique items. Hopefully will also get those who do not have crafting jobs leveled interested in crafting.

    • Completing all Beastman Tribe quests will unlock a bonus quest/story. It's supposed to be really cool. People are recommended to catch up on their beastman dailies before 2.35.

    Hildibrand-related

    • Gilgamesh will not make an appearance in the next installment of Hildibrand quests. But there will still be a fun and exciting fight involving another oddball character.

    • Godbert was way more popular than originally imagined. He will return for more appearances in the future.

    • Hildibrand's mother's story was actually written but never implemented since there were already so many characters. Maybe in the future?

    • Plan is to continue to introduce new characters, characters from previous FF games possible but only if they match the world setting of FFXIV (so no random cameos unless they make sense).

    Miscellaneous

    • A new side-quest series involving the Letter Courier Moogles will be introduced.

    • No revealing Yugiri's face yet. Too soon.

    • Crafted ilvl70+ accessory recipes will be added (ilvl90?). May be a good gear choice for those who wish to overmeld them.

    • New specializations (such as jobs) for crafters are being planned but it won't come until after 3.0.
