Is Search Just Completely Broken?

I'm not sure how long it's been like this, or if this is a known issue (couldn't find any recent related posts in Bug Reporting), but I'm not getting anything back when I search for concepts, platforms, characters, etc. in the search box. Searching for specific boards when creating posts also comes back with nothing. All I ever get is the "'Tis but a barren wasteland" result.

I've tried both Edge and Chrome on Windows 10 and it seems equally broken on both browsers.

Yep can confirm here too. Chrome and Win10.

Works for me on Win 7 and Firefox v53.0.3

Wasn't search always busted to some degree? Although it at least found games well enough in the past.

Although it is working for me fine. On Win10 Chrome, dunno what version, the latest one I guess.

@humanity: Ha, yeah. A lot of aspects of this site have been eternally broken to one degree or another.

Good news: Seems like it's working for me again! Good to know it wasn't just me for a bit there though.

@jjweatherman: Search is back for me now too. Which is weird cause it's definitely been iffy for the last few days.

I've never seen that weird cropping issue though.

I believe we are working to shift to an entirely new search provider in the months after E3. And, yes, it has been...less than great for a long time. Doing "searchterm site:giantbomb.com" in Google will often get you where you need to go if you're not searching from inside the WYSIWYG.

Boy, That seems like it's going to be a LOT of work, it's not a small site. Good luck, man.
