PS4 Web Browser

I know this is probably a very limited use-case but my broke ass only has the PS4 to watch videos on my TV. Last night, every video wouldn't play and all the thumbnails were not clickable links anymore. I could only navigate via text links.

It was super weird, but I was throwing it in to the universe just in case!

I think this is a known bug, I saw a comment or two about it about half an hour ago

@sombre: @davesavedtheday: Yep, someone was mentioning this in the video problem thread. I filed a bug for it and someone is going to take a look at it, but I don't have an ETA on a fix, unfortunately.

I’m having the same problem. Started three or four days ago. Was watching Metal Gear Scanlon just fine and when I went to the next episode, the play button does nothing. Feels like maybe it’s just loading forever and never gets to a point of playability ? Dunno, I’m no whiz. I have a GB support ticket going. Happy to see it’s not just me.

Yeah. Same here. I tried logging out and back in and now I can’t even log in now. After I enter my credentials it says please prove I’m not a robot but there is no where to do so. Oh well.

Same problem for me, the play button does not respond. This is a bummer because this is the only way I can watch premium videos on a full size screen.

@dancedance: When this broke for me I was also watching Metal Gear Scanlon 😭😭 I was so close to finish MGS2... again!

FWIW I'm having the same problems, but I never even got to the "play" button. I tried to watch the Hotspot episode via PS4 and couldn't even get it to switch from the audio version to video version. Basically, the links to videos seem to work, but when you get onto a video page, nothing else works.

It happens to me that I was editing more and add some images in any article. but it just give me a error anytime I about and any other things that loads is somehow acting slow or goes on forever. and I also can't add stuff in the list other than add any article in the list with my phone.

The captcha to log in is also not appearing. So the PS4 is pretty borked as a Giant Bomb player right now.

Captcha is not appearing when trying to login on an iPad either.

Hoping this gets sorted soon.

The PS4 is my main method of watching GB videos.

@zeldaking2001@: That is also my case. I usually watch videos from my PS4 because I don't have a smart TV or any other device that I could use with my television. Hopefully the issues will be sorted this week.

Came here to report the same thing, I signed up to premo purely to watch content on my ps4 (2nd monitor is ps4 as my old ass PC only has 1 hdmi out).

Everything else works, you can even see a faint image of the video thumbnail in the background and the curser changes when hovering over the play button so it is acknowledging the video in some way, but nothing happens when clicking it.

My work around for anyone desperate enough has been to simply download on pc, transfer to usb and watch on ps4 from the usb.

I've been using my Steam link for now but the setup is less than ideal for my living situation.

I actually started having this issue on my PC and PS4 on the exact same day, updating chrome fixed it on my PC side, but no luck on the PS4.

So either this was just fixed or I might of found a way to fix it.

On pc play any video and change the settings from HTML5 to progressive playback, then close the video, now on ps4 it should work. Not sure if that is coincidence because it is working in HTML5 mode now on ps4 but it's worth a try if it's still broken for you.
