Video player takes a long time to load - unreachable vtstage.cbsinteractive.com

One domain is not responding and keeps the video player from loading. It eventually finishes loading and the video can be played. The load takes about 30-60 seconds.

It happens on every video I tried, embedded or directly on GB.

I've seen similar reports on Neogaf.

Same thing here. Takes around 30 seconds to load any video. It happens in Chrome and Edge

I get the same problem. The calls to vstage all timed out. Takes a minute for me and then the video can play.

Same thing on PS4. Video eventually loads.

Same, though I use Safari in macOS Sierra. Streaming the download links works fine though.

Once you see the page load up, click the stop loading page and the video should instantly pop up. At least for me.

Same here. Both in Chome on Win 10 and Safari on iOS.

Seeing similar issues in Vivaldi 1.10

Getting the same issue, and like @darkaileron if I manually stop the page from loading the video instantly works. I thought it might be something with my extensions but I'm getting the same issue in both Chrome and Firefox. Starting firefox in safe-mode (no extensions) still has this issue, so it's nothing on my end causing this.

Having problems here too. Video player takes forever to load, if it loads at all. Chrome, Windows 10.

Safari on mac. Just hangs forever

I'm getting the same thing with Safari in the latest version of iOS.

That said, if I simply tell the page to stop loading then I get the play button and it works fine. Might be worth trying for the people saying they've been waiting several minutes for the load to finish.

A quick and dirty workaround until this is fixed is to add vtstage.cbsinteractive.com to your hosts file (c;\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts, edit as admin),

127.0.0.1 vtstage.cbsinteractive.com

Same problem here. I've also noticed that if I click the stop loading page the video pops up immediately.
