I count them as a release, and I think I've seen others do that as well.

@TMThomsen: In Duke Nukem 3D's case, I believe GOG re-released the game with some updated assets or something. I covered it in the Duke Nukem franchise page, if I remember correctly.

@StarFoxA: GOG games are as untouched as possible. However, they often include bonus content such as wallpapers, soundtracks etc.

@TMThomsen: Hmm... I think I'm thinking of a different game, but I know there was one game that GOG did touch up.

We can't delete releases right now because of some bug. Also, we do count digital releases as a release but remember to put what service they were released on as part of the title to help differentiate it eg. Game X (Steam).

I came here to make a post complaining about how Duke Nukem 64 was not just a port and should not be deleted, but now I see the problem.

Someone has misinterpreted this thread, and instead of removing the 'Duke Nukem 64' release from the Duke Nukem 3D page, they've renamed the actual Duke Nukem 64 page 'Delete', as is standard procedure for a game to be removed at a later date. :P Can someone please change that back before the page gets deleted entirely?

It's a port of Duke 3D to the N64 is it not?

Despite all the improvements and modifications, it's still a port of Duke Nukem 3D. I believe there were pages for the Saturn and Game.com ports that got deleted recently. This should go the same way.

Though, somebody should move the screenshots to a N64 Screenshots folder in Duke Nukem 3D before that page gets wiped.

The Duke Nukem 3d and Duke Nukem 64 pages have been merged.

Created a gallery for N64 screenshots. Is there any way to batch move images?

@Nes: I got it.

I had to vaguely rename the 64 page so that I could find it in the search, then I dumped the N64 pics over.

Someone messed up the ports section of the page. Is it possible to revert back to the previous state? Don't feel like writing it again.

You and whoever else nominated Duke Nukem 64, Duke Nukem Game.com and Duke Nukem for Saturn for deletion are absolute idiots that have obviously never played either game. The policy for merging games with identical names on this site is fucking retarded.

Thank god Mobygames actually has some semblance of standards and quality moderation. Jesus Christ.

@roushimsx: I've never played the games, you're right.  But from the searching around I did when someone brought up the idea of merging them, everything pointed to DN64, DN:Total Meltdown, and the Game.com version all being ports of Duke Nukem 3D.

@roushimsx: So are you blaming the people nominating the games for deletion, or the people who made the rules that the nominators are following? I'm not a fan of all the rules either, but please try to be civil about it. If you prefer the inclusion criteria on other sites, then by all means contribute to those sites. I contribute to numerous sites, and I recognize and respect the sites' differences in inclusion criteria, even if I don't agree with some of them.

@roushimsx: Relax, all your work still exists. I haven't "nominated" anything for deletion; I was working on fulfilling the new rule set. The information on the different ports of Duke Nukem 3D can still be found on the Duke Nukem 3D page.

Edit: If you're the one who deleted the whole ports section on that page, you're the worst person I've ever met.

I hope the mods can restore most of it, lock his account and IP ban him.

I know it technically is his own work, but when he published it on Giant Bomb he gave up ownership. Removing it now is simply vandalism.

We're working on restoring what was removed.  But let's just say he won't be removing anything else.

Okay so I think we have restored all of the pages with deleted content. If we missed any or it happens again feel free to use the PM BLAST link.

If you want it to come back your going to need some convincing evidence that it's its own game.
