Pending edit disappeared

GB newcomer here. Last night I spent quite a bit of time making writing an edit for Pure Pool (not the most high-profile game, I know, but good for practicing). An my first edit was accepted along with a couple of additional releases I added, so I then went in and fleshed out the main article with a lot more information, going into detail on the different game modes and rules. This edit now seems to have completely disappeared. I can't see it in either my edit history or the game page's history.

Has that work been lost or am missing something? Thanks.

I'm afraid it's likely gone for good, for whatever reason the site tends to burp if you take too long writing a reply/blog or making an wiki edit. It's done so for years

All I can say is to make a copy of what you write in a word processor before hitting submit, that way you have a backup if it happens again.

I hope you are able to rewrite what you did because that page looks like it could use the love.

Bugger. That's annoying. The thing is, I'm sure I saw it as a pending edit after I submitted it.
