@hippie_genocide: Not really? The best few middle east players aren't there I suppose but even the players at the event did quite well. Gannoon took out Dashio.
@hassun: Evil Xian gatekeeping Latif, though of course he could have had the Fuudo match or the Xian match. Ideally Fuudo was second or third, Latif or R was First/Second, and Itazan was fourth; but alas.
Xian is now in 4th place with 668 points. Fuudo is now qualified and 19th with 214 points. Latif jumps to a shared 30th spot (with Koji KOG) with 72 points. AiAi has now been pushed out of the top 32.
@fredchuckdave: Really? The Sakura player? That's surprising. But overall, from what I saw over the two days it seemed pretty lopsided. Nothing against those local players, it'd be like if some of the best players in Asia showed up at local weekly tournament here.
Also isn't Latif repping the middle east as well? I thought he held up well enough, I think he just lacks tournament experience now compared to before when he was still in the US.
Say what you will about it not being a CPT tournament and not featuring a lot of really big names, but Absolute Battle 6 easily has the best production values out of all the tournaments this weekend. Big shoutouts to PandaxGaming.
@starvinggamer: Possibly means Sim and Sagat are the last two "Classic" characters left? I still wonder how well they would do against the other characters though, given how almost every V-Skill so far is anti-fireball and rushing down is fairly easy.
@hassun: Pretty sure Scar is the best Sonya in the world, if you had mentioned him I would have watched it live :'( I started playing demolition recently actually, fun stuff; good ol' easy 64% off X-ray.
@zella: Well, Sim should work fine against most V-Skills I think since they wouldn't be able to absorb/evade a fireball and his Fierce at the same time. Only exception is Ryu.
