News continues to trickle out of GamesCom in Germany, with EA dropping a pair of release dates this morning for Dante's Inferno and Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Though, if you read the headline, you already know what they are: February 9 and March 2. Those are North American dates; you're looking at Feb. 12 and March 5 in Europe.
Both of these games, it should be noted, belong to the less populated category, "games that were always scheduled to come out in 2010" and not the suddenly very crowded group, "games that were supposed to ship in '09 but got pushed into what is looking like a really, really busy 2010 all of a sudden."
To commemorate the announcement, DICE dropped a new Bad Company 2 trailer and some screenshots. And I suggest you look at them.

Read the article, these two games were always planned to be in 2010... it's not EA's fault at all... just the other publishers LOL." Spring 2010 is Holiday 2008. I swear, these publishers are mentally retarded. "
That looks like a great trailer, too bad I'll probably still be playing the piss out of Modern Warfare 2. As for Dante's Inferno, I liked the literature but the direction they're taking the game is questionable.
EA really deals out the ass-kickery. Their lineup is excellent!
The Battlefield : Bad Company 2 trailer and screens get me fired up. The wait will be hell.
I was really surprised of how awesome NFS : Shift looks. The 'real driver experience' in the cockpit view is freaking insane! I guess, NFS : Shift, Brütal Legend and Dragon Age will keep me occupied 'til the 5th of March. Oh wait, there's more great games being published? EA ain't the only publisher with gems in their line-up?
Well... then I'm up to my neck... in great games.
We are all screwed! In a very wierd way. Too many freaking games, that are worthwhile! So little time.
"Is it sad that I haven't played Bad Company 1 yet? "
no, I havent either, but I did play the demo.
Really? BFBC2 was "always coming out in 2010"? It was coming out September 30th 2009 when I placed a pre-order on it a couple weeks ago. Also, I hope they don't waste their time with single player. The campaign was so uninteresting and bland in the first one and considering you only spend about 8 hours on it and then hundreds of hours playing the multiplayer, the investment of time is obviously best served in the real game and not the shambling "campaign" modes.
Don't know about the gameplay as I'm yet to open the first BFBC I got cheap (hope ppl still playing :P) but they sure can make a kickass trailer. Dunno why but I'm getting more hyped from this than the MW2 trailers even when there's no real gameplay (though I love BF and CoD pretty equally).
I think its a damn shame they've dropped the single player goofballs, I mean the campaign was a bloody mess how they lazily pulled it off but I was hoping I'd see those rotten bastards at least one more time, they were clever and funny. The goofballs in the single player was all that really distinguished BAD COMPANY from Battlefield X Y Z.

Just like the awesome l4d intro it was made to "teach" people what will be in multi player and what you should do in a certain situation.
