The demo of blade kitten and quantum theory I could barley finish. In fact the only reason I beat quantum theory's is because right when I was about to quit I ran through the door and that was the ending
What about you?
EDIT: Also the Turtles in time demo was a big turn-off
Siren
Demos so bad you could hardly / not finish?
I decided not to finish Quantum Theory around the 4th Giant enemy I killed. That was pretty terrible.
Also, Quantum Theory has a terrible terrible demo. Maybe the gameplay just sucked overall but really, one of the worst demo experiences ever.
" @Sackmanjones:I decided not to finish Quantum Theory around the 4th Giant enemy I killed. That was pretty terrible. "I think I quit after #3. The game feels like a pre-alpha version of Gears of War. It's missing a lot of features, it looks terrible, and the voice acting and dialog feels like a stand in for the final game.
Oh man the Quantum Theory demo i played for literally less than 3 minutes, then i quit and deleted it off my PS3. I felt really dirty having downloaded in the first place.
Quantum Theory, Blade Kitten, Turok, and Hive for me. I actually beat the demo mostly since I wanted to get it done with; Blade Kitten went on for too long, and then I did, which is when I called it quits; Never beat Turok since it was terrible; beat Hive demo twice, but only to see if I could do anything differently.
I think the only demo I've ever legitimately tried, and couldn't stand to finish, is Too Human. I played like 20 minutes, got so fed up with the just all-around shitty game design, that I quit.
Oh wow. Didn't expect my answers to be so popular. Gahoole demo didn't load, I got bored with Quantum Theory's demo, and Blade Kitten just felt offensive to play.
" @FancySoapsMan said:lol no." I hardly ever finish demos. Though I guess my least favorite one has been the BioShock demo. "Shut up. "
" the 360 demo for Dead Space. awful. the whole game, however, i quite enjoyed. "Is it worth it, you think? I'm like you, I guess. Just hated that demo. It actually glitched on me the first time I tried to play it, and that computer thing would never activate. Walked around that little space for far too long before I figured out there was a bug in the demo.
" @FancySoapsMan said:No, the demo was really good. He's just crazy." @ghad13 said:O.K. ..... I guess I only played the game not the demo so it could of been bad. "" @FancySoapsMan said:lol no. I got one no one said. So I like survival horror, a lot. Like, a lot. Silent Hill 2 is an important game in my life.
So I hear a lot of that team worked on Siren: Blood Curse. I download the demo. I expect it to be difficult to handle and sluggishly paced. That's a survival horror staple.
Good Christ, duders. Go download it yourself. It sets you somewhere in the story with absolutely no suggestion or indication of what the fuck is going on or why. The graphics themselves seem technologically adept, it seems like they know what they're doing with lighting and polygons... but everything looks jerky and uncanny. And then you try to play it. As a master of tank controls, even I find Siren's handling repugnant. Then when you need to actually use the controller, the actions are oriented in the most jackfucked way I've seen in a long time. Operable items on the screen aren't given any distinction, from UI or artistic design. Controls and basic functions are poorly explained, and usually not until moments after you needed to know them. I'd comment on the gameplay, but I honestly couldn't find it. I tried on two occasions to figure out how the game is meant to be played. The game, and the demo in specific, adamantly refused to reveal itself in any way shape or form.
It's sad.
Once, when I was younger and slightly more foolish, I downloaded the Sonic 2006 demo. Bad idea.
Wow. Looks like Quantum Theory won't be getting any love from the GB community.
Also, my worst demo would have to be Quantum Theory. What's with the enemies just dissipating? NOT SATISFYING!
" Any of those hunting game demos. "Don't even get me started on the most recent one (River & Stream or something). Should have been called "Shitfaced Hunting Adventure". Dear God that was bad.
