Discount on premium subscription

The guys mentioned on last week's podcast that there was going to be a sale on premium membership... anyone know when that starts? Looking to take the leap into premium status.

Since we are talking about premium subscriptions.

I have been a sub for almost up to a year now. Can't check for how long right now as the "Billing History" link seems to be grayed out but I suppose it's been about 9 to 11 months. Do I automatically get the gold medal as soon as the 12th monthly fee is billed?

scc...can't say for certain but I was monthly for a while...two years maybe...no gold. I think it's specific to annual subs but once again, cant be certain.

Speaking as someone who has been a more contributing silver member since the beginning: No. What medal you get is based on the type of subscription you take. Silver for monthly, Gold for yearly.

Could you tell us what you think the guys look like, based off of your impressions of them on the podcast?

Plan on going gold with the next discount they have.

Any more news? Haven't seen mention of when a sale might go live since the off-handed remark during the podcast. I know we've all been up in arms about the Steam Mod Kerfuffle, but some hint of when the sale might take place (if one will take place at all) would be nice.

@storytimeshendo: Purely an assumption, but I can't help but assume that the discount will drop on the 29th for the Big Live Live Show Live.

@professoress: Sounds good. I thought they'd want to do it a day or two sooner so that people can be up and running for the Big Live Live Show, but oh well. A sale is a sale.

Doing a premium sale during the Big Live Live Show Live seems kinda counterproductive, since you'd think they would want a bunch of new, full price subscribers to be gained from the BLLSL.

One way to drum up new subscribers is a sale, another way is to just generate a bunch of hype through the BLLSL. For the three previous BLLSLs, the hype was enough and people paid full price, and the premium sales were more of a thing that happened like 2-6 months later during a lull period.
