Do you wear headphones when you game?

Very, very rarely. It's usually when I'm playing online with friends (headset/mic dealies), or if I just want the music of the game (or just my own music) to block out the outside world. 

Never. I might if I played games on my PC, but I don't even have a graphics card so I don't bother.

I can only game at night, or during nap-time for the little one.  Being a gamer and a Dad, without a man-cave, means headphones are my constant companion.

When playing on the PC I normally pop on the headphones.

Always. I get better sound, and I don't want to wake my neighbours. 

On the PC/Mac: Always, On the TV: No. The only exception being when I'm playing a console game that has really repetitive music I can't stand. In that case, I pop on the headphones and substitute it with my playlist, or a podcast.

Absolutely always. I sold my speakers a while ago because headphones are superior in every way. I think I'd go mad if I could hear the downstairs TV or my parents yammering all day.

Yes, but I'm not always listening to the game.  I'll listen to podcasts while playing less story heavy stuff like Borderlands and pretty much any multiplayer, even if it means my performance might suffer a bit.

I kind of have to since I live with my girlfriend and shes not really into games, and I keep the sound quite high. 

Only when it's a game I don't have to listen to or it's late at night. I don't need to listen to games like Plants vs Zombies or Bejeweled so I usually listen to podcasts when playing them.  

I'm lucky enough to have a sound system so I don't use headphones.  The only pair I own are the earbuds from my ipod.

For some console games I won't and I never do with my DS, but for all other occasions especially my PC games, I wear headphones.  

my mom had the bright idea of moving the desktop from 15 ft and a wall away from the TV to 3ft away from the TV. Pretty much forced me into getting some audio technicas.

I always use my headphones. 
I probably wouldn't use them on consoles, if not for the fact that my PC, PS3 and 360 share the same monitor.

Headphones is the only output for sound my PC has, so yes. But I don't use headsets for console gaming unless i'm in skype with friends at the same time.

I have an amazing roccat headset for sc2 and other pc games.

What the fuck for?  Why would you want to have explosions going off in
your ears in a continuous & random manner?  It'll give you game fatigue.
 
The only way I could see ever wearing headphones while gaming would
be to listen to music that plays off of your stereo & not on your PC while
playing your game.  But I don't use headphones for that either, I just 
flip on the stereo next to the PC & let the PC & stereo music play at
each other.

Always headphones. I have to be mindful of sleeping roommates at night and a great pair of 5.1 headphones are a hell of a lot cheaper than a nice speaker system.

Only on my PC never on my PS3/Wii.

I listen to a lot of podcasts for games where I don't give a shit about the story or racing or multiplayer games.

For PC games 90% of the time. For console games never.
