Very, very rarely. It's usually when I'm playing online with friends (headset/mic dealies), or if I just want the music of the game (or just my own music) to block out the outside world.
Do you wear headphones when you game?
i game on the PC and i dont use headphones.. just doesnt feel right
good logitech speakers are good enough for the experience
On the PC/Mac: Always, On the TV: No. The only exception being when I'm playing a console game that has really repetitive music I can't stand. In that case, I pop on the headphones and substitute it with my playlist, or a podcast.
I kind of have to since I live with my girlfriend and shes not really into games, and I keep the sound quite high.
Only when it's a game I don't have to listen to or it's late at night. I don't need to listen to games like Plants vs Zombies or Bejeweled so I usually listen to podcasts when playing them.
For some console games I won't and I never do with my DS, but for all other occasions especially my PC games, I wear headphones.
"On my PC, yes. When using something connected to my TV, no. "
I voted sometimes for these same reasons.
" I only wear headphones when I watch porn, so my neighbors don't think I'm raping somebody. "This
What the fuck for? Why would you want to have explosions going off in
your ears in a continuous & random manner? It'll give you game fatigue.
The only way I could see ever wearing headphones while gaming would
be to listen to music that plays off of your stereo & not on your PC while
playing your game. But I don't use headphones for that either, I just
flip on the stereo next to the PC & let the PC & stereo music play at
each other.
" @Lind_L_Taylor: Not all games are constant explosions going off in your ears.... People play more than Call of Duty. I can't imagine playing something like Starcraft 2 or Super Meat Boy without headphones on. Plus when you have a good set of headphones its way better on your ears then shitty tv speakers. "I'd never use TV speakers. Check out my images to see my primary system. I actually have
two other systems, one for a PC & another stereo system. I never listen to a TV with just its
basic built-in speakers. That'd be sacrilegious!
