I don't seem to be able to find this weeks I love mondays anywhere. Is this a new anti-monday reign of doom? Or are they just tired from last week? Questions that need answers people. Also I could have just messed it.
I asked that question on the live stream and he said that they didn't really have time to do it on Friday, but told us to wrap our minds around the idea of an I love Mondays segment, but not on a Monday. i'm not sure if I could cope, it's such a monumental change...
They record their "I Love Mondays" segment the previous Friday. Since last Friday was the day after a very long and hard working day that they were preparing for weeks for, you can understand why they didn't want to do one.
If they record their "I Love Monday" videos on Friday, then we have been lied to this whole time! For it is the awesomeness of Friday that has given them the appropriate high, not Monday!
Mondays can only take so much negligence before they start looking for love elsewhere. Before you know it Mondays will be shacking up with 1up and Giant Bomb will have to settle for Tuesdays.

Well you know, personally I don't care if Monday's blue since Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too. Thursday I don't care about you, it's Friday, I'm in love.

A three minute video is what we see as end users. Given that it's always green screened, has a variety of unique graphics, background b-roll, transitions, prerecorded drop ins, etc... I'd betting that the total time it takes to make that three minutes is probably somewhere between 2-2.5 hours. I mean, they just got live switcher equipment, so they had to do most of their stuff in post.
ILM isn't a simple YouTube post (the closest thing they currently put up like that are the mailbags). As a rule, every minute in front of a camera takes AT LEAST 10 behind.
@Feanor: A third of a workday between at least 3 people. Mind you, that was production and post production time. The guys write their script in advance and read it from a teleprompter, so tack on at least another 15-30 for the writer of the teleprompter, not including the time it takes to generate the ideas for the script.
So 3-4 hours between 4-6 people? That's a lot of time.
@Bandit_Fox: You keep increasing the time it takes, pick one and stick to it. And they do this every week, its part of their job, they should be expected to do it. Its not like anything else happened on this site yesterday, or today even.
