Finally a Cyberpunk RPG game!!!

CD project(the witcher) is making it so you know its gonna be off the hook, just read it on joystiq. Why arent there more games like this? Why is midevial more interesting than cyberpunk/futuristic it seems?

I dont see anywhere on there that it says its an RPG. Just because its coming from CD project doesnt mean its going to be an RPG, it could be a shooter. God i hope its not a shooter.

Whatever these dues make, I'm down for it, Witcher 1 was great, Witcher 2 is one of the best games I've played the past few years, at least storywise.

It's not really that surprising. The whole steam punk thing getting popular was about a development cycle ago.

It's not another System Shock, so it doesn't matter.

I've always liked the idea of cyber and steam punk but I never really had fun with a game based around these themes.

Well, besides from Burn Cycle and Shadowrun (SNES) a million years ago.. but that was a special time.

Relax duder. This is Giantbomb. Not IGN , Gametrailers or Gamespot....oh wait. Overall Giantbomb is happy with links to other articles on the web. They state plenty of times there is no rivalry, more so they would rather work with other sites, except the heads of the websites go "No no no, you cant. Just keep it simple." Times are changing. Jeff was on IGN the other month there even tho he is under the Gamespot banner he is allowed to move around.

You know the interns? Most of them are forumites and database editors who contributed. Like this were they found some news and reported on it. More detailed that "Title here is a link." however there was a title and if they were putting care into it, more than one link.

More than anywhere are these forums teeming with people practicing journalism and game reviewing and GB is just all the more happy to help.

So link away. You are more likely to be locked if you dont, as you didnt put enough substantial effort in your topic.

Honestly, I am really getting tired of developers diarrheaing out medieval fantasy type games.

They didn't say anything about what kind of game it is. Maybe it's an iOS Cyberpunk dress-up game with neon microtransactions.

I think Wizards of the Coast owns the Cyberpunk 2020 franchise still, but that would be a good source for a game if they're looking for a licensed pre-made world. Shadowrun would be the best, but I'm betting that's still under Microsoft's roof.

I love the cyberpunk genre, but it's so hard to get the hacking aspect right in these types of games. Most of the time hacking is either a chore or a frustrating time-waster.

Cannot match Deus Ex. Best game ever until end of time.

The new game sounds cool and I'm really excited for Colonization on GOG.

That Tiny and Big game however, sounds like more of that "indie in-crowd" bullshit, what with all its hype about indie bands.

Is Prey 2 now a definite no-go?

It's not a "cypberpunk RPG", it's a game based on the Cyberpunk pen and paper RPG. Having played a fair bit of Cyberpunk 2020, I'm excited.

I am so Excited for a Real Cyberpunk 2020 game! My favorite Pen and Paper game of all time! I hope they include a lot of the surounding lore, like Rache Bartmoss, Johnny Silverhand and the band Samurai. For me this is a must buy, I just can't wait.

@AnimalFather: I believe he meant more along the lines of it not just being "a" cyberpunk RPG, rather that it is a RPG based in the world of Cyberpunk 2020.

If it's anything like Deus Ex I'm more then pleased.

Yes. CDPR can only do good in my eyes. So ready for this. I really hope they develop this for consoles alongside the PC version because I don't know if I can wait a year like I did TW2 when it came to 360 last month.
