With that said, I kinda thought this show would be picking a random game for each week and maybe then continue one that interests them enough (like Life is Strange, apparently) in the Playdate feature.

But I recognize a losing battle when I see one. Ah well. It is pushing me to get LiS so I can follow along with the livestreams instead of bookmarking the archived versions for later, and that's not a wholly bad thing.

Really just anything where the player matters. I guess older story based games are fine but I just don't like watching a video of a game where there's nothing to it except the story being told, especially when it's so new that it isn't even finished being released yet. But it looks like I'm in the minority there. Kerbal would be great too.

What's the deal with everyone wanting them to play Life is Strange? I missed last time and I've never played it, but isn't it just like a pretty good game like Gone Home or whatever?
Maybe it's just me, but I always found that if you want gold-tier Vinny and Alex commentary, you want to either give them something hard as shit like Dark Souls, some B-movie bad writing or voice-acting like press X not to Die or that Damian devil game I forget the name of, or a physics playground like PolyBridge / Kerbal...

That's how I thought it was going to go, as well. At this pace, we'll never get to see a bunch of the under-appreciated\promoted adventure games because the community will just pick whichever new adventure game is popular and make them play until they finish the whole thing. How many people would have voted for Contradiction before they saw the Quick Look? Save the endurance runs for a different feature (maybe playdates) assuming any of the games turn out to be of Contradiction caliber. I want people to be exposed to stuff like The Interactive Adventures of Dog Mendonça and Pizzaboy when that comes out, but I worry that they won't see them if GBEast burns several weeks of this feature on a single game and repeats the process with the next flavor of the month. New stuff will keep getting put on top of the list and we'll never get far enough down the list to find the weird B-movie so-bad-it's-good stuff.

You can't just start a game like that and end it there, also the game gets really interesting going forward so I'd like to see how you guys react to what's going to happen.

I really think you guys will love where the story goes, also, I feel like if you guys just keep changing the game, the show just sort of becomes another quick look. It's fascinating to watch you guys actually play through these full experiences.

So are they going to keep running this "weekly feature" and just keep doing Life Is Strange until they finish it? I don't get the point then.

The feature is called "Choose your own adventure" so the voting is us picking our (their) adventure. It seems fairly on point for the feature to me.

But they're pretty much saying "let us keep playing this please" and many people want to see full game play throughs so yeah this will keep going on. I just don't see the point to keep acting like it'll be something other than this game week to week.

Rally the people and vote for something else. Based on the OP I see that Vinny probably wants to do Kerbal.

@deathfromace: Yeah I don't care for Life Is Strange but I don't mind that they're doing it. Not everything needs to be for me. I just think this "request a game" feature is cool but it doesn't make a ton of sense if you're starting long story based games people are going to want to see through to the end.

I requested Phantasmagoria 2 because it sounds hilarious and I love Vinny playing old adventure games, but that also falls into the same trap because it's a story based game.

A game like Kerbal makes more sense for this feature really if it can change week to week. Or something like Crusader Kings 2.

Maybe when they finish Super Castlevania they could kind of put Life is Strange in that slot and take more requests for this feature.

Maybe they will work the kinks out of the feature and once Life Is Strange is done make this for random one off games and keeps games that will require more than one video to finish as the play-date.
