About 2 hours ago on the official Halo facebook page a link was posted to a Halo 4 facebook page with the caption "The Halo 4 details should be announced later this year. Looking forward to Halo 4?" So what does this mean? Has Halo 4 been officially announced?

Pfft, Halo 4 is old news... my friend's dad's friend's coworker gave me the Halo 6 beta and and and you can play as Marcus Fenix and it turns out he's Master Chief and the Arbiter is Cole Train and there's a level with 500 Warthogs and you can play as the actual Halo and the Halo can drive a giant Warthog and run over planets.
Reading the comments on the Halo 4 page...gag... I'm kind of done with Halo at this point. I liked 3, adored ODST, was ambivalent about Wars and Reach was just kind of boring.

@Deusoma No I'm good lol. I dunno man I just hate seeing great franchises get milked. Take Uncharted for example. I'm super pumped for Uncharted 3 but if in a year they announce Uncharted 4 with someone other than Naughty Dog making it, like this case because Bungie isn't involved with Halo anymore, I just don't see why I should care.
What if Halo HD comes FREE WITH EVERY COPY OF HALO 4!!
I know, I know, but seriously: With Bungie gone I can't help but wonder if Microsoft has some big plan to try and boost gamers' confidence in 343's ability to carry the Halo franchise. Is the name really enough?

Can't say I care a great deal about Halo much nowadays, real or not something like this would be under heavy guard for E3 so surprised if it's been leaked in such a way.

Halo games are spaced at least a couple of years a part and even if when we do see another one, we don't know if it'll actually be Halo 4 ( the one that continues with Master Chief). Makes a bit more sense than the people who were acted like "OMG, there's a Modern Warfare 3!?!!!" when that was announced.
Still, this is pretty clearly fake.. especially with the announcement of the remake coming at E3.
@ErrorOperator: Paint. Yes, that's exactly what came to mind when I saw it. Not only does the page not look official in the slightest -- I had to squint to get the logo to come into focus. No doubt some whimsical fan threw that up in order to watch a community rise from Facebook and flog the idea to death.
Halo 4. Maybe we'll see it with the next-gen of Xbox console. ξ

No, last time I checked, Microsoft nor 343i has officially announced it. So until then, it's just rumour.
Nope. The First halo game remake is confirmed. Has been for a wile.
Anyone can say they have a source confirming it. While I don't doubt they will release an HD remake, right now it's still only rumour until it has had an official confirmation. An article from Joystiq is not an official confirmation.
There are multiple sites confirming even the release date being 10 years since the game first game out. And we now that list of stuff. Its more or less confirmed.
