Man the Vita is not looking good at all.
Also, that dog is adorable.
The culprit...
Those eyes. He knows exactly what he did.
Come on, who could shout at those doggy eyes.
Seriously though, I was expecting some sort of rottweiler from the looks of those consoles. Sucks man, dogs are awesome (screw cats) but that's one of the dangers about owning them, they can feck up you stuff.
Wow a few anointed duders out there gettin' all snippy. I guess it goes to show that at the end of the day, this is still an Internet forum. I'm going to ahead and offer my condolences and hope that your significant other makes it up to you in some way.
For some reason that actually made me laugh out loud. Thanks.
@holycrapitsadam: So you know, my exact reaction was "d'awww... what!? I'd give up my 3DS for that thing."
Damn, that sucks. Honestly that last picture of your "culprit" cracked me up, though. Those eyes are borderline manipulative.
Dogs suck. A cat wouldn't do that.
No, a cat would just scratch the shit out of your couch and leave hair everywhere and knock on your door all night. Not to derail the thread into a cats vs dogs debate...
Dogs win.
Dogs suck. A cat wouldn't do that.
Cats can't feel love. Only hate. Dogs can love.
I bet you can sell the vita to someone on ebay who thinks they can (or maybe actually can) salvage something out of it. Even if you get 20 bucks, it's better than nothing.
Maybe get some fine sandpaper and clean up the 3DS chew areas a bit and you can deal with that - at least it still works.
Dogs can be a fucking nightmare when they are young and are prone to this shit. You need to make sure nothing you care about is lower than like 6 feet when you leave the house, because they will absolutely go to town on anything until they are use to the routine.

My cat, who I still have and love with all my heart, managed to jump on my desk within 2 minutes of me leaving my bedroom and spilled water all over my laptop, ruining the damn thing. However, I would still rather have a cat than a dog.
I feel your pain.
This was kinda my fault though, happened like a year and a half ago I think. A family member was in the hospital in critical condition and I wasn't really thinking at the time and left it in a bad place, and when we all left for the hospital I'm sure the way we were acting wasn't helping the dog so she was probably just as upset.
Although on many other occasions both dogs have chewed through charging cords, specifically nintendo handheld ones for some reason. One 3DS cable, 2 DS ones, an SP. But none of my phone cables over the years, not my vita, not anything else that's around in the exact same areas as the nintendo ones. I think my dogs hate nintendo.
I like how people jump to the conclusion that this guy is some neglectful scumbag who is constantly away from home for 20 hours on a regular basis with no one else at home.
Shit happens, sorry duder
This. It's so easy to sit behind a computer screen and point out flaws in other people (without bothering to find out the truth).
The truth was right there, people just choose not to read and understand. The guy had to work for 20 hours, what was he supposed to do?
Anyway, cute doggy! Sorry to see what happened, but hey at least the 3DS still works so you're good. :P
@slashdance: i'd arguably say dogs chew more shit than cats do, but cats have ruined some pricey headphones of mine so w/e
i like them both but lean towards cats, dogs can be just so goddamn rowdy sometimes (as sweet and playful as they can be) :D

Though I know OP has clarified his wife was home, I don't see how it was "leaping to conclusions" to assume the guy had just left his dog alone for 20 hours, considering that all he had said in his original post was that he had a 20 hour work day and came home to his dog chewing stuff up. A lot of people care about their dogs, and an unclarified post that suggests a dog spending the vast majority of a day alone in a house doesn't sit well.
All I could think is hulk smash if that happened to me. Though I hate the dog we have in the house so I'm sure if you like yours it would be a little different.

To you maybe, telling this man that he's neglectful and is too irresponsible to own a dog based on one small paragraph seems like jumping to conclusions to me, we don't know the circumstances in this guys life.
I have two dogs as well, I love them to death and they get treated better than I do at home, sometimes they eat stuff just because that's what dogs do. They find something that has a different texture or makes a different sound than they are used to and go to town on it.
